Has anyone found a job via LinkedIn?
I must have applied for dozens of jobs on LinkedIn job portal. At times companies don't reply or I mostly get automated rejection emails. PS - I'm someone with more than a decade and a half experience. So my target roles are a little senior.
Two out of my five jobs so far were via LinkedIn. Mid level roles though. I still get a lot of DMs on Linkedin from Talent Acquisition teams and Co-founders on open roles. I guess people at your level get head hunted than via portals like LinkedIn where you have to go and apply.
How have you optimised your profile?
I've only optimised the About Me section. I neither update my job level information nor upload my resume on my profile.
I take part in discussions related to my domain in the posts published by LinkedIn Top Voices/Influencers. Many TA folks follow these influencers to see who makes valid points and head hunt them for relevant roles later. It's also a good place for your profile to be visible before Co-founders since they're also reading through stuff here and there.
The idea is to make valid points which the community acknowledges. Your comment stays on top.
Nope. LinkedIn jobs, especially the easy apply ones have an insanely low callback rate. I've found jobs by asking referrals or messaging recruiters on LinkedIn, but not via the linked jobs portal.
Do you know about any referral for marketing job for freshers
Your chance of job thru LinkedIn is based on your linkedin profile. LinkedIn helps recruiters to filter out fake experience, and give a measure of how much related experience the candidate has. one can gauge the true level of heiraracy thru the profile. So, if a person is not getting offers thru LinkedIn, it means your profile is matching with the resume.
Remember we have the highest amount of workforce. Each job there are atleast 1000 contenders. HR only has a limited time and patience to go thru some of them
I hVe got multiple call backs and also all my internships and jobs via LinkedIn
