I have a summer internship at Amazon this summer, just want to know how the overall scenario is. Is it team dependent, or is there a blanket rule to not give PPOs now? Or are they giving offers? 
Also how is the work culture there now, after the layoffs?

 I have primarily used cpp and flutter and would like to know what technologies I should learn before the internship and also would love to hear the experience of previous interns

Hi,

I’m currently a final year CSE student pursuing my 6-month internship at Amazon. I don’t know if I’ll get PPO after my internship or not. Heard that our seniors from the 2023 batch were not offered PPOs after their 6-month internships. 
Would want your views on if I should start applying to other companies on the side as a plan B. Also, on-campus placements at my college aren’t looking that good this year in terms of the packages being offered. I’m looking for any off-campus openings for the role of an SDE at the moment, if any. International roles are welcome.

I got a summer internship at Accenture as an Advanced App Engineering Analyst, started yesterday. There are good chances of PPO post the internship and if I get the PPO then my college does not allow me to sit for placements with the exception of very few companies, which would have the most competition. I really want to get into a product-based company for a full-time role. I applied to Accenture since it was a summer internship. 

So, considering the worst-case scenario where I join Accenture as an FTE with no other options, how hard is it to switch to a product-based company? I'm a good learner so I can learn the required skills and already have some unofficial experience with web development and did good on ML and DL courses of my college with good projects to showcase my skills in them.

Please let me know! I'd really appreciate your insights. Thanks

How hard is it to switch from Service to Product companies?

Hi, I am in my final year of my B.Tech and I just got to know that I won't be getting PPO/Full time offers from two Internships due to no opening in the ML team  for both the Internships. (Market down).

It really feels bad to have wasted my time (1year) over the internship, in the end to get nothing. 

I would be glad if someone could help me get referal for ML Roles (Computer vison, NLP, any would work).

Did not get ppo from summer intern and startup, both ppo above 20 LPA package
Had to start at a bank as sde below 9 ctc

Bro I will tell you my situation I got 6 month internship at Amazon on campus, and got placed in a 14.58 lpa company. Amazon did not provide PPO and just a month before joining my offer got revoked. From 2 offers to none time does not remain the same. Right now I am working in a company I feel shy to tell the CTC also to by friends. My father has a very high loan of 30+ lakh in his business. But I will not give up.

I have done a 6M internship at Amazon but Amazon didn't convert any single 6M intern to full time employee even got a hire call from the manager. But Amazon has given the ppo to 2024 grad. Now Companies has started hiring only 2024 grad.

No one giving the shit about my internship. Companies/startups are not considering that as experience, then why they are hiring intern?

I applied to many companies even with referrals but  none of them sent me a single test link. Big tech giants are done hiring with 2023 grads. Some are hiring but only to female candidates.

Indian startups are the worst. they just wanted a guy who has all the knowledge according to their business model, doesn't matter how skilled you are.
Anyone can learn new things in small period of time but Indian startups... I don't know what they are thinking. In such things mnc is good atleast they are not doing such shitty things to fresher.

If I have done 6M internship at Amazon and got the hiring decision from manager, this doesn't imply that I have capabilities to work as a Developer? If anyone is able to deliver tasks in a company like Amazon where almost everything is new on which an intern is about to work then I don't think he will not be able to work in any other organisation.

For the coming cycle, are Google and Microsoft planning to hire interns or FT freshers from on-campus recruitment? Microsoft did a aggressive intern hiring last time. Google went on freeze quite early on. Have things changed in terms of hiring interns and freshers?

I am not able to decide which one to choose. The Groww internship is guaranteed that if I perform well I will get PPO(15 LPA) and swiggy one is dicy if even it does have PPO. Since only one more month is left for my graduation, taking any of these internships will require me to leave the FTE offer. Any suggestions fellow developers??

I am a 2023 batch undergrad. I got 6 month internship offer from Amazon and another offer of 9.8 lpa full time from another company.Inspite of working so hard and my good performance Amazon did not provide PPO.  I am also trying for opp campus opportunity. 
The company that I am going to join has notice period of 3 months. In many of the job posting I see that joining is immediate to 30 days. Will the 3 month notice period be a hindrance in my career path .will it be so difficult switching cmp?

Have worked in edtech, crypto and fintech, been through layoff (as an intern 😀), got multiple offers within 10 days of being laid off, got the PPO denied from one while got the PPO from the other.  Have seen founders with half a billion of funding boast about their culture and seen them layoff 120 folks the very next month.

Had been selected for internship+placement as an engineer on campus, but lately due to market conditions our internship tenure is reduced from 6 months to 3 months and full time will be conditional based on performance and business conditions.

1 month has passed and we are only doing automation testing till now and now my mentor has asked to start working on Angular as well. We are working remotely.

Mentor rarely connects with us as he is the team lead, what should I do that the mentor recommends me well at the end of the internship to the HR?

I am a 2023 batch undergrad from nit . This year placement season was dull compared to 2022 . But somehow most of people got a job . But from the past 2 3 weeks companies are revoking offer letter. Almost 8 companies have revoked their offer letter, including increff OLX ,karza technology and so on .

Offer letter is getting delayed . Almost all of us had their expected joining in June and July ,but many of my friends have not got their offer letter. 

Also the PPO scene, prior to this year almost  the PPO conversion rate was very good in 6 months intern . A big mnc company hired 26 intern from my college but no PPO .

I am afraid right now. When will the scene become normal?

Recently, I got my resume shortlisted for a 2 months internship at a Bangalore based startup. They're offering 13.5k per month stipend with no full time opportunity. Also, there's no remote opportunity as well. I'm currently based out at a different state. They're asking me to fill a form if I'm interested to go forward with the application. 

Should I take the chance to go forward with the application? Isn't 13.5k too less to survive in Bangalore?
