Laid off, looking for job

I've been looking for job for a year now. Though I did join a company last year. I did settle for a company temporarily and because of the experience I had during onboarding and during this last one year, I've been proactively looking for jobs but I've failed to get shortlisted in every company where I applied. I have not even received call from Naukri.com or any job portal. 
Now only a fews weeks remain for me to become unemployed completely. 

4 years of experience in product. However I am willing to change the domain and industry as well. Current fixed compensation is 20 lakhs. I urgently need a job. Thanks.

Hey Folks, Since I come from software engineering background so looking for some help from you all. 

One of my friend has about 6yr of experience working as Senior DataScientist and he is pretty good at the work. I see him continuously brushing up with almost latest things happening in ML space. He is now looking for job switch but struggling to get interview call and not able to clear rounds for scheduled interviews. Something is going off in his case, dont know what. 

I really want to help him so Pls help me with this question -

1. What are the companies hiring for DS2 or Senior DS role for now?
2. What is the expectation from a Data Science candidate in the interviews?
3. What are the popular interview questions that are being asked these days?
4. If possible please share your recent interview questions.

This would be really helpful to all other folks as well who are preparing and are in the same route

I am an ML engineer working in a startup.

My current situation is horrible,I am constantly stressed about getting laid-off(My performance is good,I got promoted a month ago). I came to know that my company will probably lay people off this month,since they are unable to meet targets.

Now,I got rejected in four interviews.
There is a lot to learn and revise.
Stats and probability.
Machine learning algos.
Deep learning architectures(got rejected because I was unable to explain the architecture of a complex model in detail).
DSA(got rejected twice in this round).
SQL (got rejected once since I was unable to solve the SQL problem).
ML ops(some recruiters ask this as well).

With the added pressure of getting laid off,my whole life is turned upside down.I am unable to focus.
Every meeting or discussion I attend I feel like people are evaluating me.( This was not the case before).
I don't know what to do.
It would really help,if you guys share your interview experiences below.

Hey folks from some couple of months trying to reaching out with friend connection for HR vacancy but all are being no reaponse once a period there was where i was trying helping them to land a job for them now i am jobless sitting at home applying contacting all for HR vacancies through linkedin naukri indeed but no response.

Very disappointing for me not a getting single refer from anyone.

Guys if anyone has any opening in his organization whether it is startup or mnc or mid level company plss comment me plss need some favour from grapevine colleagues.
