2. Some punishment for not joining after accepting an offer letter. There should be a time frame in which you can reject, after that pay some pre decided money.

4. No work during weekends. 

5. Max one month notice period.

6. If laid off, pay severance same as notice period i.e one month salary. 

7. Pay candidates for the assignments done during interview rounds.

I have got a full time job offer (SDE 1) from a startup who are offering good pay and wfh.

But I was uncertain whether I'll get this offer or not so reached out to another startup and after screening they have scheduled technical interviews.
They are offering the same pay and wfo in Bangalore.

I've accepted the offer from 1st company by considering multiple factors like product, wlb, culture, growth, etc.
So now should I appear for interviews in the 2nd company or I should tell them beforehand ?
I feel it will be a waste of time for that company and it'll be hard for me to tell no in the end as they told their offer and benefits beforehand, and I had reached out to them with interest.

What should I do ?

I've recently started applying for new roles, but I'm finding it challenging to manage interviews with my current 9-6 strict wfo job schedule.

Most companies are scheduling interviews between 10-4, and with multiple rounds over a span of weeks, it's becoming hard to balance.


Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any strategies for scheduling interviews without raising red flags at work? Also, what are some legitimate reasons or excuses I could give my manager for taking time off?

I'm currently working from home .
My office is also very near to where I stay.
I have got an offer from another company , which is very far from my home and the recruiter is saying that you may have to come once in a while .

My concern is that , how do I convince them to give me permanent work from home .
Should I talk to the recruiter (HR) or should I directly talk to the senior most person (Director-who took the interview).

Although once in a while is ok with me , but if the company tomorrow says that you have to come once in a week , then that will be a challenge for me .

I want to grow in life but also can't leave my family .

Hi,

I have almost 10 months of experience as software developer in 3 companies one internship, 2 full-time. First 2 was absolutely initial-stage startups, this one is a seed-funded startup. In my current company the culture and the manager is really nice. I work as a backend developer, node, MongoDB, express, genai, auth, etc. tech stack. But the work does not excite me at all, I was enjoying at my previous company a lot more. That was young team, so everyone was new to tech and trying to figure out things and was helpful and collaborative. Here everyone is in their 30s and 40s and I am 23, no one even cares of what I work and how difficulty I am facing in work/team. That's why I fear of losing my job every day and I am still on my probation. So I thought of applying in case I get laid off. I got an interview opportunity at company. I want to ask what should I answer if the interviewer asks me about the frequent switches.

In first company I switched because the company is like 3 people and no funding was received so only 3 more months of money remaining( btw now only the founder left and he is still trying to raise money, my other colleague left too). So what should I give a reason for this potential switch? 

Current perks: 6LPA base. Nothing else.

I quit my last organisation (a famous UPI company) in 2020 because, they still are in old technology. No cloud computing, no kubernates, no terraform. Their entire baremetal infra are in 2 DCs (Mumbai and Bangalore). Leadership ideas are outdated. I was very much bored and looking for a change.

Why did you resign?

Amount of effort i put and the salary i got was not proportional. 14 hrs to get 30k salary as a fresher. I had understood that I deserve better - thus i moved to get better pay and better wlb (which I got in swiggy)
