Ultimate flex is using Beamer for creating the presentations. In one of the presentations,  a colleague with a PhD created a great presentations with fancy visuals ( using Inkscape). That presentation was entirely in beamer!

From past few weeks we have seen several posts on the app about how PM ￼are ‘shyt’ they don’t contribute anything and they should know how to code they don’t know technical stuff etc. 
So, my request to all the Techies here please suggest me how do I show the recruiters/hiring managers/my engg team that I know how to code and understand tech. I seriously want to learn all these stuff but how to show any tangible evidence that I know how stuff works and is built, as my day job I won’t be able to code as I am a PM but let me know what I can do on side one or two hours every day and maybe at the end of six months I am able to show that I have done something that is an evidence that I know tech.

I believe such questions just to test if candidate can think and apply certain software engineering design principles at hand. Understand approach how do they handle corner cases ( if they can identify) technical depth, also good way to test fundamentals.

Is it fine to use company laptop for leetcode?

As you can guess, i joined as a front end developer in a startup last month. I have got no degree whatsoever.
I am great at coding. I have done 700 leetcode questions (in JS😅). I intend to have a package of 20LPA next year. Maybe less.
What should i do to maximize my pay scale while having little time for myself.
I don't want to go insane in pursuing it.
To all the high earners,please give me advice.

Future as frontend developer

Recently, I was talking with one of my friend who shared this interesting thing with me. He has seen few of his juniors(from CS background ) struggling to clear campus placement tests. Majority of them fail during the coding round and a few in aptitude. Cheating is quite common during campus placements is what he shared. He has also seen non CS/ECE/IT background folks pulling some tricks during this time and are somehow able to clear the test. No idea how they do it without getting caught. But the biggest question I had was, how are CS folks not aware of such thing? and what are those tricks/methods/art they let's you do it so smoothly???

How to clear placement test

I work in a small startup, we have 10 people in Frontend Team. 2 SDE-2, rest all SDE-1. 
I joined as Sde-1, when I joined them, we were 4(2 SDE-2 and 2 SDE-1).

At the time of joining, they had a messy codebase, nobody cared about writing good, optimized code etc. 

Whenever I got chance to work on old feature, I used to re-write entire code from scratch, made reusable functions, components and moved common functionalities there, all these made the UI better, platform stable. 
Worked on optimization and performance. These folks never cared about all these things. 

Also started peer reviewing everyone's PRs, explained them various design patterns and made them write re-usable components, optimized, bug-free code and other things.

Now I came to know, all these efforts of my mine never reached my manager to due manipulation by one of the SDE-2. 

My manager likes this guy and allowed him to handle the FE team. 
This guy has shown that he's the one who took all these initiative and he got all these things done by the team. 
He involved the other SDE-2 in this game. 

Fast forward 1 year, I see most of my code has been slightly modified by him, moved to new file and my actual file is deleted. 
He has done this in order to remove my GitHub history. 
I'm now getting frustrated and don't know how to handle this. 

Resigning is not an option and raising with manager won't help as he's slightly biased and won't believe me. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Imagine this, you have access to FM radio, just as a police officer, all time in your hand and you could say anything to the entire Bangalore but only people, whom that information is relevant, will hear you instantly. 

Now, imagine everyone has the same superpower of FM radio. And, FM radio and system has ethic code doesn't let you share bad/harmful/hurtful.... All relevant information in sync with all people in the city.

Sorry, this is all I could share for now, There are more on other aspects delivering great uses but I can't. Now, throw me some questions about this. 

Is this a want or need? - Finding a single room @5K in HSR layout. Or, vehicles are towed from regular road side parking space😅. Or, searching for a CTO around🤗. (if everyone willing to join as CTO will get notified instantly from this single post on grapevine, it would be magic, right?)🤯

I would like to know what preparation is required for a 10+ year experienced software engineer.

The current role involves architecting, programming and managing a team for delivery but with no one directly reporting.

Interview prep for 10+ year experience

1. You are building a software that otherwise could be built by a 12 year old kid, if given proper training.
2. You cannot code if I cut off google, stackoverflow & related websites.
3. You are just concerned about producing the output quickly because a. your work is time bound, b. you want to stand out from others.
4. You attend countless meetings that carry no value, thanks to Agile.
5. 10 people write code for the same software which otherwise could have been written by 1 person.
6. You write pages of documents just because you are expected to write for the team, compliance & stuff.
7. You don’t care about non-functional requirements as nobody asked for it.
8. You are spending hours together in coding a simple thing & you are branded a hard-worker.
9. Or you don’t spend much time in coding because you impress people with tech jargons that you learnt recently. You are branded a smart-worker.
10. The code you write will be completely rewritten in next 3-4 years just to catch up with the industry trends.
11. Your only goal is to earn loads of money which otherwise could not be earned in other engineering fields. That’s one of the reasons why you are on grapevine.

Prove me wrong if you can, by commenting your opinion.

Software engineering job is highly overrated. Prove me wrong if you can.

Tell me you are a mediocre programmer/ work with mediocre programmers /an idiot without telling me you are.
