I'm not sure, but being a diploma graduate myself, and having 2 years of experience in IT, getting a job is kind of hard( not saying this to demotivate you, your skills always matter), you have to go the extra mile to get a job now. Hi, I have done a 2 years diploma from a private institute and didn't go for graduation. After that, I started working as a freelancer. I have 9 years of experience in WordPress, hosting & domain management, malware removal, web designing, seo and graphics designing.

Due to my poor marketing skills, I am unable to get high potential clients. I am getting clients from references only. Now, I am thinking to do a job instead of freelancing. How much salary should I expect? And will I get a job based on my work? Will my diploma be an issue?

I am working in a service based for a multinational brand.
However i am not satisfied with the job, learnings and salary..
I am having 2 yoe on a cms called Drupal. My work mostly revolves around site building which requires no coding at all. Its very basic. But I want to get into high paying jobs I am learning DSA but i am worried that what i have been working on for 2 years might not be taken into account as actual experience. 
I am worried that big companies might reject my profile because of this lack of real world coding experience. 
I am really confused what to do. My manager is pushing to get a certification in Drupal and get hands on experience on coding in drupal (php, jquery, twig). I don't think drupal has scope when compared to mern. I don't see a lot of jobs for drupal when i search in linkedin or naukri. What's your take on this ?
The problem here is i am really confused whether to continue learning MERN (i have been learning and have a decent idea) as mern looks like best bet to me to apply for big tech companies.

I am looking to build some income streams apart from my salary over the next few years and wanted to gain some freelancing skills to build an online business but am confused about where and how to start. I've seen people working on software projects and stuff like digital marketing but can't really picture myself in similar roles. I'm not a techie, my interest lies mainly in finance and business but I'm fine with exploring and venturing into something new as well. Would be great if someone who has done it in the past can please guide as to what can be some promising skills to gain and how to go about it.

This is a call for every software engineer and broader community. 
I’m a 30 year old customer support employee who worked at Airtel, MPL, Wazirx and I have 5 years of total experience all things customer support. 

About a year ago, laid off at Wazirx due to crypto taxes and regulations and it’s been an uphill battle to find a steady job in the market. 

Did few freelance jobs but nothing is working out. I’m at a point where I’m unable to even get by on monthly basis. 

I’m a Engg dropout as well, so no degree, no real top notch experience to land other roles. 

I finally decided to have a crack at software jobs and pivot to whole new field. I have few queries, if anyone can find some time and answer them, it would mean the world to me 

1. Do I need a degree to land software roles ? 
2. To pivot to coding roles ( no prior experience), where should i start ?
3. There’s an ocean of misinformation out there, I’m really confused on where to start and which courses to take up? ( Planning to take up Phyton ) 
4. Can coding help to land freelance jobs ( I know it’s difficult and takes time to reach good enough of a level but I’m willing to work hard and put the hours in ). 
5. I know companies doesn’t bet on candidates without a degree but what’s the best way to approach this scenario?

I have worked on few backend & infra stack in past companies (node js, go-lang, kubernetes, s3, etc) just for exploring and expanding my horizon.
I am thinking of seriously perusing this now.

What are my options here? I am open to learning via online course / my own side projects.

I am currently working with a start-up from the last 2 years as a web developer angular+ dot net. My current CTC is 5LPA. Waiting for appraisal form last 1 year, and management has cleared that we do not expect a magical raise this time, I will hardly get 25 - 30% this time. Should I wait for 1 more year here( product is good and work culture is best). Or look for another opportunity. How much salary should I expect from outside? I have good knowledge and worked on various things frontend, backend, ci/cd.

Hello I'm 22F a 4th year student from a tier 3 college. I got placed on campus in a very small scale startup for 6.5 lpa but the internship period was of 9 months at 15k per month in blr. Now they have announced that they won't be giving PPO to us. My internship is ending in March 2024 before that I need to get into a new job. But all the openings are low paying i.e. 3 or 4lpa jobs and I'm in doubt with my DSA skills. I need someone who can mentor me on this path. I've worked on mostly Java, Springboot, Automation testing and C++. 
How should I prepare along with my internship in this 2 months?

I'm 2020 passed out based in India but due to my 10th class percentage was below 60%. I was unable to get a job. I was doing some small freelancing gigs and at the same time learnt Frontend Web Dev Skill. But due to academic eligibility criteria in India I was unable to get a job. Hi.

I received a termination letter from my past company. The reason was, I sent my resignation letter from home and responded only when they reached out.

I know I am at fault. Should have sent resignation from office itself. But their punishment seems very harsh. I didn't get a chance to explain myself. 

Wherever I am applying for jobs, getting turned down as I do not have experience letter and relieving letter. Having a termination letter seems to be equal to having a criminal record.

I tried requesting my ex company, but seems they have forgotten my existence, and talked in a rude manner.

Day by day I am losing confidence. Trying my hand at freelancing also, but it would be like starting from zero.

How can I repair my situation. Advice pls.

I wanted to share my journey and seek advice on a concern I've been facing. After completing my undergraduate studies, I worked for two years before deciding to pursue a Master's in Advanced Computer Science in the UK, focusing on a thesis in Machine Learning as a part of course.

This decision was driven by my passion for the field and a desire to advance my knowledge and skills.However, due to some family issues, I had to return to India after completing my master's. 

Since then, I've been working in one of the MNCs here again on developement with very less package 12.50LPA.My overall IT expereicne was 4+ in IT. Despite my efforts and the advanced degree I hold, I've noticed that my master's qualification hasn't been given much consideration; instead, my career growth seems to be solely based on my experience.

I'm beginning to wonder if my decision to pursue a master's abroad has been more of a hindrance than a help in the Indian job market.

I would appreciate insights from this community on a few points:

 I'm 2020 graduate. Due to my low academic scores (below the eligibility criteria), I have been unable to get responses from recruiters. I initially thought about preparing for government exams, but that did not go too well. In the meantime, I have been doing freelance work while studying. However, I cannot count that as formal experience. 

Currently, I am applying for jobs - my portfolio is ready and I am trying to make some open source contributions. However, I have two major challenges in getting recruiter calls:

1. My 10th class academic score is low. 

2. There is a 3 year career gap after graduation.

I am unsure how to tackle these situations. Could you please suggest approaches to land a job given these circumstances?

Hi, I am currently working as a graphic designer at a company in Bengaluru It is my first job, and I a learning a lot from there but web development is what gives me that kick. Right now I am 21 and money is not an important factor for me but after 3 to 5 it will be and I don't see getting a good salary where I am currently working. It's been 7 months I haven't received a single increment whereas my responsibility has been increasing significantly. I have been coding for almost a year and still working on it after work. I am seeing lots of 22 years old who have opened their digital marketing agency and earning really good money by working with freelance clients who pay in dollars.

Haven't had much success with freelancing. Cold mailing hardly works and gig websites like Upwork etc have lots of competition at some really cheap rate.
