I got selected for SDE role at Cisco. I have 2.8 yoe , what base i can expect from Cisco. And joining Cisco is a good decision ????

Hi senior devs , I have overall 3 years of experience in total with 1.5 years spent in each of the roles SDE- 1 and Machine Learning Engineer (present). Language - Java , Python Backend - Spring Boot , Rest Libraries - Numpy , Pandas, Tensorflow, Pytorch I am looking to target the SDE-2 position, how can I plan my next 6 months preparing for that . So hello Everyone , A short intro , i am a 2023 grad , fumbled a 32 lpa SDE job in last round in college placement . I was among the last 2 out of 500 students and the other guy got selected or you can say i run out of luck.🙂 This left a scar ,guilt and trauma, however got placed as a cloud engineer during last week of my college. I always wanted to do development and create stuffs . My current role is more of a support so now I want to switch . Yoe :1 year 2 months Salary:9 lpa (7.5 base) Fully remote i had solved around 220+ questions on leetcode and had a good grip on DSA but it’s been a year since i solved any questions there. So now i will again start coding and solving leetcode from STRIVER A to Z dsa course and working on harkirat 0-100 development projects. I aim to make myself interview ready at the end of week 5 while keeping my current job and then look for interviews during my notice period. I am ready to take a leap of faith and grind hard . I will keep updating on every Sunday about number of questions and development projects i worked on . Hope it motivates you all to improve and get better at life . I am going to use this sub to record my weekly improvements . I am open to any suggestions by my people here . Wish me luck ✨

Hey all, i was thinking of making a switch now after completing 1.5 years roughly (the while process might take 3/4 months roughly as i need to prepare everything from beginning). Was confused between joining an established company vs a startup. I personally want to join the former as i want to focus on other interests of mine and am fine with less salary but with less stress and working hours. My friends are suggesting to for the latter as im still a beginner and should focus more on learning. Im not very passionate about software development but i would say im av+, what would anyone of you would have done?

I already have a 10LPA offer at an MNC, got shortlisted for an interview for the Swiggy Backend ASDE role, should I give it? I heard it is a contractual role and pays 8L, true?

Hi everyone recently got job offer. And here is the what I'm getting. Is it good. Job role : SDE1 Tech stack : Nodejs, React, AWS, DevOps CCTC: 6.5 all fixed Offer CTC : 8 fixed + 4 L ESOP + 1 to 1.5 performance bonus Is it worth it. I will be getting another offer 8.5 fixed. How to negotiate for that. It's is first switch and I was laid off in Feb. I'm moderately good at problem solving and have LC : 1600+ CF : 1450+ Please share your view. I'm really open for suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Currently I am working as an SDE - 1(8 base) in gurugram, I received an offer for an automation engineer role from Sprinklr (16.5 base). I am 2023 grad from IIIT and have a good knowledge of DSA and System Design. Some days back I received an SDE-1 offer from a Singapore stealth startup(13 base) but couldn't join them. Now I have this offer, I am still looking to switch to SDE-1 position, but due to the market situation not getting enough interview calls. So is it advisable to join an automation role and look for the SDE roles in parallel? since I believe that sprinklr tag will help me in getting the opportunities but I don't know whether my resume will be shortlisted for the SDE roles if I have an automation role in my resume. Please give your honest opinion and help me to make the decision..

I believe i am underpaid. I am total 8 years experienced and 6years experienced in current role. It’s been 2.5 years in cisco and drawing only ~18LPA. What should be the corrected ctc here ? Please help.

I have 3 yrs of experience after my graduation, 8 months of backend experience and from past 2.4 months I am into frontend project. Now I'm planning to switch trying to start preparation. I have ready with DSA rounds , coming with system design rounds I have a confusion. Should I need to prepare for frontend or backend system design topics If I joined in another company should i start my carrer as a sde2 or sde1. If i join for SDE2 position can i catch backend to team standard.

I am currently doing my internship at Amazon which is most likely not gonna get converted to a full time offer (provided the market conditions), I have another offer from EY for the role of Technology Consultant which would mainly involve work in data analysis. I have heard that it will be very tough to come back to an sde role from a consultant role. So I am in a dilemma of what to do next? P.S. I am more inclined towards an SDE role due to the growth it provides.

Software engineer with 2.5 YOE working for US based mid sized company with CTC of 25 LPA base + 1.7 lacs bonus + 10 lacs worth esops. Just wanted to know is this upto the market or should i look for better opportunity. Looking for answers . P.S Its a permanent wfh
