Is Gurgaon a good place to work?

Traffic, Pollution, People, Lifestyle, Rent, etc. I would highly appreciate your views on this.

Apart from weather (including pollution) and salary (in tech at least), if compared to Bengaluru, it's much better

Traffic is easy Rent is less The cheaper food has a lot of variety No fake 70-80% Kannada boards BS More variety of experiences to do on the weekend Alcohol is much much cheaper Cab drivers don't cancel booking Better connectivity to different parts of the country

I work for a Gurgaon based company but permanent WFH. When ever i seriously considered moving to Gurgaon over the past 3 years of my employment with them the following happened

  • Communal riots 2020 (I known that was in delhi but the shockwaves were felt across NCR, a series of brutal/psychopathic murders and road accidents, unbearable smog, and to my biggest surprise floods on arterial roads in Gurgaon from modest rainfall, rent increases bringing it comparable to Bangalore, post Diwali smog season, traffic is honestly comparable with Bangalore, and metro is terribly crowded in peak hours

I still want to give Gurgaon a chance. I tell myself atleast I can experience the much better cultural experiences that delhi has to offer over Bangalore. Or maybe the unbeatable food experiences there or better access to places to travel across North India. The mall culture does nothing for me honestly.

But I am just not able to get over the reasons listed above. Maybe in my next visit in 2 months I will repeat the exercise and feel different about ut

Which is better?

I am currently WFH, but looking for new opportunities. Since most of the companies are now demanding on site, which is better for better growth, savings and learning?

Gurgaon/ Noida or Bangalore??

Seriously contemplating moving to Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida due to personal reasons.

Folks working there in IT, how's the work culture and overall state of tech industry?
