Proof is in the pudding. He’s built a company customers love, with hardly any external funding. The financials of the company are solid and in whatever public pronouncements he makes, I rarely see artifice . He says “ this works for us, that’s how we roll. Not for everyone “.
I only pray no Satyam type scandal is lurking. Major disillusionment otherwise :)

I don't think so. I think the elder brother has his head in the right space and has his priorities right. The decisions they've made wrt zerodha and his philanthropic activities make me think he's the entrepreneur we should be aggrandizing (instead of the likes we do)

I find it hard to find someone legit who berates the practice of operating non-bootstrapped businesses, yet ends up investing in them. At least not worthy of being worshipped and treated as demi-gods, which is possible thanks to mass media and an impressionable audience.
The bar is already set quite low to begin with.
