Is it good enough to opt for a Bank SO after IIM?

Ok so don't say go for next year best option as I don't have one, it's with a baby IIM or this. So currently I'm in IIM Mumbai Sustainablity Management course, and I have zero knowledge about it, not even enough to have an opinion on do I like it or not. So now I'm just doubtful is this a right decision, all the experienced folks out here please share how can I make a good career out of this and switch in future. Also if anyone working in a similar sector please share what kind of roles I can expect, career growth in near future and what pay i can expect.

What's preferred in MBA? What do people optimize for? Is ISB good? For getting into Finance or Consulting, what would you recommend - IIMs vs ISB?

Should I go for MBA in top 10 b schools india like IIMs, XLRI, SPJAIN, etc So a little background about myself. I graduated in 2023 from a tier college and managed to get an off-campus job in an investment bank as an SDE. My current salary is 24LPA. Would it be beneficial for me to do MBA from the above mentioned colleges Like would the placements there be better than what I have currently? Also if I can save enough money in 2 years would a MBA in US in a top 20 uni be better than MBA in IIM? I will be going for further studies sometime in 2025 or 2026. My main goal is to improve my salary and build a network. I have also managed my own dev agency and did freelance projects in the past 4 years. If anybody has gone through the same please let me know your experience. This also applies to MTech/MS as well Thank you.

For all techies who have been in industry for more than 4 years, is it worth to do mba from iims if you want to venture out of software and get into business. 24 M, TC 45 Few cons which i can think of are - you lose out on the salary of the two years - end up with a debt - you get the job which is gonna pay at par or below the the current salary pros can be - you grow quicker once you are in the industry - you get exposed to much bigger network of professionals and senior execs of multiple firms - 5 year down the line, you salary can get much better when comparing with tech job I need help with making an educated decision on whether to go for it or not, thank you

Hello! I'm standing at a career crossroads and could really use some perspective. Profile : -YOE-3yrs. -2 years in a technical role and - 1year working as a Project manager in a well known MNC. - Graduated from a well-known T-2 college engineering college. I've always wanted to be in a managerial role. I feel like I'd definitely do better in such a role, in the long run. I'm considering going for an MBA at ISB, but – the idea of taking on a 45-lakh loan is giving me pause. Coming from a middle-class background, it's a significant financial commitment. Plus, the job outlook for Product roles is fuzzy, and I'm not entirely sold on the consulting scene either. The big question is whether an MBA from ISB would really pay off. If you've gone through a similar decision-making process or have insights, navigating a career shift post-MBA, or just general advice on making a call like this, I'd love to hear what you have to say.

Hi peeps need advice .I am working in a govt PSU with a gross salary of 2 lacs per month.I am 33 years old having passed out from a tier 1 college. All my friends are in the pvt sector and are earning much more than me.Every time I meet them ,i feel a sense of profound sadness. For the past few months i have been thinking of doing a one year MBA program from one of the IIMs ofcourse and moving to the pvt sector.Whats your take on this ?

Hi, I am working in an mnc as a software developer since 2 years after graduating from a top tier IIT. But I don’t see myself doing this in the next 5 years. Should I do an MBA from top tier IIM college? I know it will not be beneficial in short term but in long term is it a good idea? Anyone from similar backgrounds do share your experience.

Very confused and have very less time to finalize

I am probably earning 2x of what an average T-1 MBA grad makes in India. I'm just not happy in my role and this SDE grind caught me lackin'. Can you help me determine whether it is still a good bet to get an MBA? Because these normie MBA folks are literally the dumbest people I have seen and I think I can do a better job than them.
