Same thing for me also. Linkedin is just a social media platform like FB. You are watching only content. No connection are helping. They are Alians in my connection. Only naukari.com helping me.

I don't feel like using Linkedin anymore. It's not because of its weird recommendation algorithm but the people on it. I don't understand why people connect if they don't want to help! I literally ...

I don't feel like using Linkedin anymore. It's not because of its weird recommendation algorithm but the people on it. I don't understand why people connect if they don't want to help! I literally asked 10 people on Linkedin, the very same question related to their field, out of which only 1 replied and god.......that reply didn't make any sense at all. I am not sure if people get high on something or is it what we all have come to......BEING SELFISH.
Don't get me wrong, but since school, college, I've always had the will to help those who really need it. Even I would still do it without charging any fee unlike those NEW people I got introduced to, who are the new born Linkedin influencers who can't even provide a small answer on job requirements, instead ask for joining some 1000 rupees session on how to crack the big tech/four. I HATE you guys if you're reading this!
It sucks to make a fresh start in my career especially in this job market.

I'm incredibly frustrated with LinkedIn's job application process. It seems like the job tab never works effectively, and I wonder if others share my experience. Despite applying to jobs using the "Easy Apply" and directly on company websites with a well-crafted resume and complete information, I've never received a response.

I question the authenticity of these job postings and whether HR professionals actually review the applications. If they do, what is their process? How do they sift through the numerous applications? It feels like my efforts are in vain, and the lack of feedback is disheartening.

I have been watching LinkedIn for a while and recently it feels all the comments seems and feels like ppl trying to present themselves and glorifying the post, like chatufying, those making meaningful comments are discarded or ignored completely. 

I feel LinkedIn has failed as a platform, ppl who can game the platform get visibility rest who are good and genuine don’t get calls or visibility at all.

This might be a reason why everyone is trying to game the platform rather then learning and having skills

- All founders acting like they’ve achieved something huge by being on the Forbes/times now/etc 40 under 40 list 
- Today someone posted about the business model of Shyamji Chole Bhature 
- People copy pasting the same fake stories

Recently I have joined a seemingly good company. Since a while, I have witnessed a surge of linkedin request and I have accepted all of them, I even referred everyone who asked, gave them tips on their resume also and responded properly to everyone's query.
However, lately I have witnessed that many linkedin connections are sort of from less known companies or freshers. The thing is even I want to move ahead further and thus want to connect with people at a better position than me, but as recently many of my connections have been fresher or from lesser known companies thus my mutual connections and suggestion have been also like same.
I have been thinking of removing some of my recent connections, basically those who just sent request and since then have not pinged related to anything referral etc. I am unable to decide if I am a ad person for doing so.
Basically I would be myself doing what they have done, so I am feeling a bit guilty if I do so, but on the other hand I also think that I have not rejected anyone's request till now and even I future won't do so, I just don't want to fill my connection with people who are just randomly sending request to everyone.

Please help me..

Does LinkedIn not work anymore? I always try to connect people or text them and it's always silence on the other side. Idk what will help me to level up I wanna switch but it's useless if no one wants to even interact.

Most of the people just keep adding so many irrelevant pictures to their posts!! I mean what do they get out of it. If it’s anything to do with regards to the picture, I understand. Other than that, it has become a trend to add photos to the posts. They say they will have greater reach and greater views. It’s so annoying. I don’t understand the difference between Instagram and LinkedIn. Most of the time I feel Instagram is better than LinkedIn. All these so called entrepreneurs have also started doing this shit and feels 😖😣

Hi everyone,

I am an employee at a Big Tech Firm, and doing quite well at my job. I have few friends of mine, who are active on LinkedIn and Twitter, and use the company's name extensively and make posts and gain followers. I sometimes feel jealous of these colleagues and feel worthless due to them. Even though I am doing well than them in the job, sometimes I just can't stop feeling jealous. Any suggestions on what I can do?

I noticed a trend on LinkedIn that people use the layoffs as an excuse to preach others that if you constantly upskill and learn then you will be safe from layoffs. 

To any freshers who believe in this crap listen this - The folks who got laid off from companies are not in any way underskilled. I've seen my colleagues get laid off at my previous company who were extremely talented and responsible for building products from scratch. 

These companies layoff people randomly and not skill based. They choose the people who are drawing more salary (often the most skilled) and fire them in the name of cost cutting. So, how does upskilling will help this situation?

Note that, the current tech market is unstable and will continue to be for next few years. Upskilling may get you up the corporate ladder but it won't in anyway save you from impending layoffs. The so-called influencers preaching this should STOP.

NOTICE this post, how this guy conveniently skipped mentioning Google layoffs in the list, since he currently works ar Google 😆

People who lecure to upskill to prevent layoffs need to stop 🛑

I swear dude, the subtle condescension is so annoying. "Don't be in your comfort zone" and shit - as if (most) people aren't already trying their best to stay up to date and keep their skills sharp. Sounds like classic victim blaming, if you ask me.

Got the last 2 jobs via my network, didn't apply for it. 

Some lessons learnt:
1. Get into that high iq, mafia type companies, where the bar is really high 
2. If you end up doing good then you'll get calls from your circles to work on something exciting
3. Lastly, work on your personal branding, write that blog down, tell how you did it, it should attract niche audience in your circle

So recently I came across a post on grapevine where a guy from XYZ company got laid off and he posted that he just got laid off and looking for job, That's it and nothing else and this post got so much engagement like people are commenting about open roles in their company, some are referring him and some are giving suggestions and all. Now few days ago I also wrote a post that I am graduating in 2024 and how I have 1.5 years of production grade internship experience and does not have full time offer but my post hardly received any traction and all I got was 2 comment where one guy asked for my stipend and another told that I should not aim for job paying lower than 1 lakh per month, this and that. 

So why people are not helping new graduates but are helping the laid off people, I have seen this on all platform like linkedin twitter, what's the reason for this?
