Law -> MBA

I'm a lawyer at a law firm in India - 2 YOE, about INR 24 lakhs pa. The money is great for my age, obviously, but the hours can be truly soul crushing.

Are there former lawyers here who've made the switch? Are you experiencing a big financial upside/ downside?

Do you mind sharing what law firm? I didn’t know the Big 7 pay this much :0

They do - this is inclusive of bonus (assuming you get 100% variable).

Surprised to hear this. I know a couple of lawyers who earn under 5 with your yoe working in big banks.

One of them tried to become a PM after seeing greener pastures in tech.

Yep - there's a big disparity between law firms and in-house in terms of pay (on the flip side, in-house roles are generally more bearable in terms of work life balance, including most bank roles).

Very happy to assist startups and young businesses as well!
