All backend is same you need to understand concurrency.golang is easy to write concurrency than Java

Less competition does not equate to high pay. If you're an okay Spring Boot developer, you might get higher pay than if you're an amazing Salesforce developer. Finding a niche is good, but do keep in touch with the tech stacks that are popular.

I am currently working in the automation testing team at TCS as a fresher. Previously, I have experience with C++ (Data Structures and Algorithms) and Python (Django). I am now looking to transition into a full stack developer role but am a bit confused about which tech stack to choose.

Being in this industry for so long, what would be your advice on which tech stack offers better opportunities, competitive salaries, and remote work options?

I'm a 2023 grad, and gained 6 months of experience in RPA, specifically Power Automate and Apps. 
However, I'm facing a lack of growth in my current role, as the projects as less.

I've become comfortable with my current situation, receiving a consistent salary and doing wfh, but now I'm concerned about the future and the stagnation of my skill set.

I've decided to upskill myself with a more relevant tech stack. I'm confused between opting for 
1. Java backend with Spring Boot.
2. MERN stack. 
3. Upkill in power automate, apps. 

As a fresher, I'm unsure which path to take. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi guys, I am currently working in a SAAS startup as a backend Engineer. Tech stack: MERN, AWS, little bit of GenAI now.

I know most big companies use Java springboot for their backend, so I'm thinking to learn it is I want to switch later. Or should I go for golang as it's becoming very hot in recent times. Or should I continue with NodeJS? Let me know your suggestion.

I work at Paytm and rumours are that 35 percent of workforce is going to be fired by may end. I'm definitely in the bottom 35 percent of my team as I'm in a new team and still learning the product. Even my team lead is saying that he will be fired. Now I'm confused, whether to work more or just completely stop caring about work.

I am 7 months experienced(2023 passed out) working  in a startup, working on Flutter + Go stack, Throughout my college I did Java and React (MERN stack) stuff,
I am confused whether I should still revise the java Springboot and React stuff or  I should become good at flutter + go stack

Career Growth for Freshers

I'm a final year Btech student, I got selected in virtusa, LTIMindtree and dxc at the package of 5.5, 4 and 4.2
My friends are doing internships at good companies and I'm just looking for better opportunities.
I have a knowledge of core java, and basic dsa. 
What should I do to go to product based companies? 
Should I prepare dsa, or do j2ee or switch to react and nodejs or something else?

Need guidance

I'm a 2nd year student. Teaching myself native iOS app development + algorithmic problem solving + core CS subjects. Now I have exactly 6 months left before the summer internship cycle starts. Turns out there aren't many iOS focused internships out there and I would very much like to future proof my intern prospects. 
What do you ,experienced folks, suggest I learn so that I can not only make decent projects but also contribute and learn while interning. 
Right now I'm inclined towards learning 
Backend development in Java+Spring Boot.
If you have any other suggestions, kindly send them my way. 
Also to the folks who work with Java/Spring Boot, what level of complexity of projects would be the bare minimum to leave a good impression?

I have freelanced on upwork earlier and maximum reached $20/hour in development gigs but got burned out by constant pressure of rebidding once the current project gets over. The profile is still 5 star rated but getting full time job through these freelancing platform require lots of marketing and bidding and it’s difficult with day job. However recently I have seem trend where there are some genuine folks such as harkirat who are upping the game by earning around 5 crore annually through posh remote jobs. Has anyone of you tried pursuing that route by reaching out to founders of early stage startups on twitter/linked in or used freelancing portals such as upwork to get full time gigs which pays more than $100k remotely. If yes please share some guidance.

Swe Backend vs Data engineering (serious)

For the past 1.5 yrs, I have been working for a legacy product and hence didn't learn any new technologies. This job was right out of college and hence I didn't pick this. Entire takeaway from 1.5 yrs was 
1.  Simple Java(version 8) code (no frameworks)
2. SVN for version control
3. Dealt with millions of lines of code and hundreds of services in one single file. 

No new technologies, no cloud, no databases. 

But I am very confident and fluent in Data Structures and Algorithms ( Masters in Theory CS from top IIT). What shall I learn next to keep up with the IT industry? I don't have any particular interest towards say DevOps, BigData. I just like to solve problems.  Please advice.

Hi, I'm working as a Frontend Dev for the past 3 years. Have good understanding and in-depth knowledge of things in JavaScript, React. 
Mentored folks/peers, cracked couple of offers from startups and other companies in the past. 
However, in my initial days I always wanted to be an ANDROID DEVELOPER, learnt Java, Kotlin Android Concepts till MVVM approach. 
Nowadays, as the Frontend domain is getting more cluttered, I'm thinking to move to Android domain considering the competition would be lesser there. 
Or start REACT NATIVE. 
Need some suggestion here.
