Mindset difference
unemployed friend in Delhi: "no stress bro, i'll drop you home in Gurgaon. 36 km is nothing"
software engineer friend in Bangalore making 24 lpa: "27th main road is kinda far from my place on 5th main. plus the auto fare is going up by like 56 bucks. mind booking your own auto?"

Difference between Baap ka paisa and Mehnat ka paisa maybe

Nah, NCR people are just much more helpful in general.

It's about a family feeling. Mumbai/Blr and even Gurugram is fast paced, full of people who are just super busy in their own lives that have little time for rest. Most job folks who are anyways highly exploited and have little leeway for other things. Delhi, Kolkata, tier 2/3 cities/towns are more friendly. They will spend 2-3 hrs in gappe. A full day off for a distant friend/relative's function. To the extent will participate in every social function whether or not relevant. Mostly are business folks

It isn't necessarily a mindset difference, but location difference. People who are in their homecity tend to be okay with being more hospitable. But people who live in other cities and are alone just have a lot on their head (chores or other things) and just aren't able to be more hospitable.

Please stop reading this as Bangalore vs Delhi!!
I am sure we know people who are helpful and who are not.
Also your relationship with your friend would be different for each one.
Also each friend's circumstance could be different
the Bangalore friend may simply be guarded with their money. And the delhi guy may have thought hanging with you could get them a referral 😜
I think we need to stop adding to these innocent sounding discussions as these can become biases and seriously damage someone.
Sorry for being a buzz kill on this harmless banter 😔

💖 Loved your Googliness 🫶🏻

Dilli hai dilwaalon ki 😊

I dunno why everyone is focusing on Delhi and Bangalore. Bro the UNEMPLOYED dude has nothing to do, dropping you somewhere might be the only task he gets to do that day.
Bangalore boye has to get home and log back in for a “quick call”. And 27th main can be an hour away from 5th main, you haven’t lived in Bangalore long enough if you don’t realise that.
Your post seems more aligned to “Jaldi se Bangalore ko gaali dedeta hun, trendy lagunga”

Yup that’s true, coming from a Delhiite living in Blr for past 5 years. An example: My manager who makes upwards of 50+ LPA asked me to divide the money for a cake (He specifically asked for Rs. 150).
And while I was doing an unpaid internship in Delhi during college, others interns (also unpaid and no baap ka paisa, normal middle class like me) used to pay when we went for lunch.

In Bangalore everyone deny because of traffic. No one wants to stuck in long traffic jams

People now be just copying content from IG reels and posting it here for grapes. Please shit somewhere else.

Hard relate, delhi people are legit vibe to be around with.
