Here in Bangalore its hard to find a quality guy smh, (emphasis on quality). Dating apps are a dead end and even when you have organic “meet cutes” the men end up saying they want something casual and don't want to commit.

Tl;Dr - 100+ matches in less than a week, but the experience still sucks as a guy.

Hadn't tried using premium+ on bumble, it was them basically copying Tinder in this aspect by tiering the likes and features further. 

Seems like most dating apps trend towards 3 or 4 tiers: free, premium and premium+ 

I used to get matches as a free user with occasional premium subscription (one week max). That changed a while ago, roughly when they introduced premium+. Thought I'd give it a try and share my experience as a user in NCR. Hadn't used bumble in a few years either.

Some numbers : 
🔴10-15% of matches expired without any messages exchanged 
🔴50-60% of matches did not initiate or put effort in conversation
🔴5-10% looking for sugar daddy and passenger princess treatment
🔴5-10% are absolutely unhinged and desperately need doctors and therapists. 1 psycho blocked. 
🔴 Remaining profiles are scammers and fake 

The sad part of being an average guy on dating apps is that you don't usually get matches 99% of the time. And when you do, it's often shitty nonetheless. The level of entitlement in women on dating apps is way too high, with very little substance to offer. 

On the plus side, did get a few decent contacts (10-15) and some are also interested in attending my dating mixers too. Haven't met any of them yet, will see how it goes.

To those who want more matches on bumble, give premium+ a try with good pics and profile. It could be a very different experience for you in a different metro city. Planning to visit Mumbai and Bangalore soon, might try this there as well. Don't think it's useful for tier 2/3, not enough users there in the first place to need premium. Happy to help you with profile suggestions and consultation if need be.

But please be very careful, don't exchange insta/numbers too soon, and watch for scammers who ask you to come to a specific location/restaurant only. Always decide the place of first date yourself, letting women decide is too risky these days.

Previously, Indian arranged marriages were standard (different from forced marriages). Families would arrange meetings between their daughters and another family's sons. If they liked each other, they would soon plan the wedding, marry, have sex, and start families.

Today, individuals are left to find their own partners. If you don't find someone in high school, university, or work, your chances of finding a partner diminish. There's also less incentive for marriage, as sex no longer requires marriage or even dating, leading to more people pursuing sex directly. This has created a skewed dynamic where fewer men pursue women due to competition, turning to porn instead, while women face exploitation by men who have abundant choices.

Ultimately, near 28-30 both genders rush to the arranged marriage system to get them a partner while having their feet dipped on dating apps.

In the US,
This has lead to decreased marriage rates and, consequently, lower birth rates since most births occur within marriages. A decline in families results in a decreased population, putting more pressure on younger generations to support an aging population. Western nations, therefore, rely heavily on immigration, causing additional challenges. Increased single motherhood also correlates with higher crime rates, drug use, loneliness, mental health issues, and suicides

P.S. I'm young and dating too. Just thoughts for a conversation on what the implications of dating for us as a society could be.

from a guy's point of view:

1. You will get rejected by girls you want and you will reject the girls who want you, it's an endless cycle. 

2. Caste/religion/job/location/money/face : everything matters.

3. When you start talking to a girl, assume she is already talking to 5 guys at least, that's how it works.

4. All the things you want in a person, will start vanishing with each person you talk to, so don't be rigid. You don't know what you want, it will keep changing.

5. People are going to lie about their age/salary/past etc, do your due diligence properly. They are going to pretend to be someone they are not.

6. Be ready for rejections and getting ghosted, hearing absurd rejection reasons.

7. They like to keep their options open, you are not their first priority, sooner you find that out the better or you need to put efforts to become their first priority. 

8. Keep your expectations to a minimum, otherwise it will become the reason behind your frustrations.

9. Don't be desperate. Keep your attention to a limit, if you gave too much, then you would come off as desperate and not likeable.

How to deal with it?
1. It is what it is.
2. If it didn't work, it wasn't meant to be.
3. No effort is a sign of no interest, stay away from such people. They are putting effort for someone else.

If you have someone in your life, keep them close, put in efforts, don't come to matrimony apps.
