Do we need to stay in the office for 9 hours ? Weekly 45 hours? If we are staying in the office will it affect the quarterly variable pay ?

Leave early if the work for that day is done
No pings and calls post work hours, there are always exceptions and thats okay, ...

Rule of thumb If you get work thoughts outside 9-6 or weekends, it's not WLB.
