PRDs and tech teams

I recently transitioned from an intern to a FTE in a startup. I'm working on a SaaS product as an APM. I have been taking up a lot of work, interacting with devs, QA, designers but neither do I feel that my manager notices what all I'm working on, nor does he seem satisfied by my work. (All my PRDs need to be refined 3-4 times 😢). I'm afraid of negative reviews and more about the job itself. I rejected 2 of my campus offers, one of them being at an IB, to join this startup, but things don't seem to be going that great. Workload is not an issue, I'm willing to take up more things, atleast as of now, but I feel that my manager doesn't let me pick more items as he feels that I'm not performing upto the mark writing the PRDs. Could you guys please help me with it? I actually need some guidance around the same.

Got laid off from my first product management job. Was the company’s first APM hire and built 70% of their client facing features from 0 to 1. As an early PM with 2 years of product experience (3+ if you throw in analytics roles I’ve done before), what will be a good fit role for me? I’ve narrowed them down to 3 1. PMM 2.PM-1 3. Founders office roles Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of going into each role after a long APM stint (slightly less than 2 years, was their walking GPT for every tec-product-business thing they did, also was informally managing 3-4 people)

Last week, I got a list of 10 features to be implemented. I have no research on the features. But I have to write the PRDs for all of them. How do I communicate to my manager, the ETA to write the PRD. Since every feature could require different research time, different scope. Also the CEO is imagining this project will be delivered in next 1 month.

feeling like I am literally in the worst phase of my life. Our company is taking ownership of an abroad project and those abroad folks are not supportive or even if they support us then they give little information so that we can't take ownership. so we freshers have to figure out everything, and now even after figuring out, my manager and higher management asks me anything with respect to the product(features, deployment, anything literally- it's a big & complex project) even though I am a fresher and don't even have the proper knowledge and then ask us to explain to them what we know, and it's literally frustrating to explain to every single guy every single time. Because the manager asks to prepare to explain to him and then to the higher manager and then whenever something is there they keep asking again and again to give a presentation or our ideas about it, but they don't even ask abroad folks when they are the one who is doing the work. I just feel like I can't keep up with this and I want to resign. How to say no to the manager for doing a particular work again and again or should I resign because I am feeling very low right now and still after 1 year it looks like I have wasted the time because I got to write code for maybe 5% and 90-95% feels like college presentation. Every time there's something and they ask the same thing 3-4 times, sometimes it would be give the x info or then y info and like this only and because of that i can't do the real work or work on new features because the Indian manager and higher officials keep giving extra work which they should ask from US folks. What should I do please suggest

Note - I am a product manager too 4 out of 5 product managers will act all high and mighty of themselves, bragging their way as if they run everything going on in the company, flaunting their business degrees and being utterly disrespectful towards their team( dev design qa name it), Recently started going to office so the attitude I am seeing is very transparent and more visible (more with the higher experience folks) It makes me wanna leave this hyper inflated role, thinking of I will end up like them scares me, and you have to do is speak out jargons in meetings day in day out and have a English accent of Shashi Tharoor. Recently my manager told that this is a role where you have to very representable or very visible and act in floor as if you are the busiest person on earth and I seriously some PMs in company doing that, they walk so fast in floor as if they will fall off or would be better to have 4 legs.

I just want to know how designers and pms are placed in a company? Because where I work I feel the PM is really dumb and she doesn't understand ux or even a bit a sense of visual design on how ui should work. She says "I don't really care how a button looks as long as it's there on the page". And I keep her in loop for feedbacks and she just doesn't understand the problem statement. Initially I thought maybe I'm not explaining it correctly but it's almost a year now and I feel she's dumb. She's actually a friend of the CEO so she agrees to whatever he says and he's kind of similar so I don't really know what to say. Also, I always work on a new project without having a PRD in place. So again is that how it's supposed to go where I do the PMs job and a product designers job or how is it? Any comments or thoughts are appreciated 🙏

I’ve worked at multiple orgs: 1. Sometimes prd are written for the sake of it. Contains no details. Usually engineers closely work with pm and implement stuff 2. In other scenario active discussion happen on prd and then stakeholders meet and take final call 3. In some orgs prds are just less of prds and more of timeline docs. What do you guys prefer?

Can someone share any real Prd because i am writing prd for a website and it is crossing 30 pages is that okay?

Met a PM from IIT / IIM with 4 years of experience. He is working at a well know soonicorn at a salary of 17 lakhs per year . He used to draw 30 lakhs per year in his last role before we was laid off . Interesting Times ahead
