People lie sooo much on their matrimonial profiles
You realise it when you come across profiles of people you know in person. I wonder how people verify all the details mentioned in the profile? e.g how are you going to verify their CTC lol 😂

In my circle, there's a person. Within their community, the to-be bride's parents literally goes to the CA of the groom's side and asks everything in detail.
Also, before marriage, succession plan is also discussed. Only if the to-be groom is getting a fair share, the discussion proceeds.
In a way, it's good, better to have clarity before marriage than kich-kich after marriage.

Regarding others, people should not hesitate to ask offer letter, salary slips, and bank statement.

It's always been a corporate merger lol
Gold, property, income, everything. Higher up economic levels pe it is still strategic partnerships to a great extent imo. People rarely date outside their income level range.
