Razorpay probably has the most overrated engineering culture from the outsider's perspective. Everytime on Twitter there's some npc telling how Razorpay is a dream place to work at or how Razorpay engineering is the holy grail.
From inside it's hilarious that someone could even think of those things. There's no learning path, especially in payments business unit for engineers who are forever stuck in ad hoc tasks. There's no long term plan, no roadmap, just PM and EMs shoving down and hocs.
Even in terms of learning from peers, there are so few charters where someone works with a lead, mostly it's just slogging it out alone in an ad hoc or some bug fix.
It's almost always an eternal cycle of never working in impactful projects -> never get assigned one, because there are so few -> get average reviews -> again being asked to work on "impactful projects".
 If anyone is under 3/4 yoe they should stay away from razorpay for their careers sake.

I am currently doing my internship at Amazon which is most likely not gonna get converted to a full time offer (provided the market conditions), I have another offer from EY for the role of Technology Consultant which would mainly involve work in data analysis. I have heard that it will be very tough to come back to an sde role from a consultant role. So I am in a dilemma of what to do next?
P.S. I am more inclined towards an SDE role due to the growth it provides.

Too much of a trajectory change from SDE to Consultant

I am seeking an SDE1 role and have 0.5 years of experience as an apprentice software engineer. I am a 2024 graduate with full-stack development experience and hands-on knowledge of data structures and algorithms( solved around 1,000 questions on LeetCode).  Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Does uber allow employees to work remotely? I've read it somewhere that it depends on team and they may allows exceptions.

1st Round: Pen and paper round. 4 DSA linked list question. Aptitude questions were also there in this round. This round was 75 to 90 minutes. 
2nd Round: F2F interview. Asked me about the DB Schema and API structure of my internship work. Fundamental questions on DBMS. 1 leetcode question similar to repeated DNA sequences. Was not able to write the code for the DSA question. 3rd Round: Basic stack question. Fundamental OS questions. Asked the approaches of the questions in the 1st round. 
4th Round: Managerial round. Find the repeating character in a string in O(1) time and O(1) space complexity. Extensive discussion on my internship experiences. Some typical managerial questions. Check if a given tree is a subtree of a another tree. 
5th Round: Asked me how alarms work in phones. Real life applications of DSA.

Job as SDE-1

So, I got placed on-campus as an analyst and it's about to be a year since.
While I don't hate the work I do and have excellent work life balance (unsure if i require it tbh 😅), I feel I can better showcase and hone my skills in a software development role, given that I have a degree in computer science and simply, enjoy coding (I've automated nearly every task I have been given as an analyst at my current job.)

I'm looking to join a fast-paced environment by the 2nd half of this year.
