[Puzzle] you know it's gonna be fun working with them, when they give technical puzzles as part of job application itself

What are a few common logical reasoning and puzzle questions that interviewers ask for non-tech roles? My interviewer is someone from analytics. So, if any analytics folks can drop some gyaan on what questions I can expect, that'd be great!

Can anyone help in providing any resources and tips in solving maths puzzle. This is where I struggle... I am good everywhere else but i want perfect this part as well... Please help folks!

I could solve general problems from arrays, trees, sorting and all. I would fail miserably when the interview goes in the direction of DP problems. After a point I realised it actually doesn’t matter, you will find enough places where you are valued for your skills. Been a person who was on the both sides of the table, more on the side taking interviews. I realised one thing how many of us end up writing those fancy TSP code or backtracking etc day in day out. Almost most of the code we write is in some form a version of CRUD and its a reality. Someone getting hired in google is not going to be assigned to improve their search algorithm. I know a lot of ppl who joined and left google because they were not getting to work on meaningful stuff. I ask real life programming stuff and I try to judge based on that, I want to see given a real scenario how the candidate thinks rather then knowing how good the person is in solving some DP problem. Some ppl can write real good code without realising that they are actually using the best practices and design patterns and not remembering the patterns name, it sometimes just comes naturally

I believe such questions just to test if candidate can think and apply certain software engineering design principles at hand. Understand approach how do they handle corner cases ( if they can identify) technical depth, also good way to test fundamentals. What did it take to get to that point? I'm reasonably comfortable with mediums but hard problems feel like a few notches above in difficulty. Should I find the equivalent rating of mediums on codeforces and work from there? Or is it better to keep reading LC hard solutions until something clicks?

Every second/third post on my feed is promoting some mentorship/coaching. Fed up with it. The post starts with some gyaan ( mostly related to interview) and then ends with mentorship or coaching promo. Especially people who cracked interview at amazon and microsoft. And now any random company. Some post has pic too, which is fully unrelated to the post. From SDE’s perspective. Job at work is different from interview. And i am sure current employees, if they have to go through interview process of the same company for the same position, most of them won’t be able to crack in the first go. ( Unless they know the exact questions to be asked ). Coding rounds. Companies usually have a set of questions (question bank) and interviewer picks question from it. Except for the very exceptional case, it is quite difficult to solve these questions if you haven’t solved them ( or related questions) earlier in the given time. So, it all boils down to how close are you to their question bank. So, instead of other things, if linkedin mentors posted about the questions they were asked, that would be more useful.
