I want to gift my sisters (yes, they are plural and too many; should have been born in Haryana) something different this Rakshabandhan. Looking for book recommendations for them (As of now I am thinking non-fiction, with themes of empowerment / breaking glass ceiling / financial prudence). Money can't buy happiness but if spent wisely can bring a mindset shift which is better than a book.
Get her some products which will improve her life 10x.
I'd suggest a good pillow, nua pads, google one subscription, good glasses for starters. There are many other thoughtful things you can buy.

Psychology of Money is a great book to start if you're introducing them to the world of Finance. I saw someone recommended Invisible Women - I've heard good things about it but it can be a little depressing (and pessimistic). If you're trying to empower, you don't want them to start off by believing that no matter what they do they'll always be behind The Man™.

While it's important for women not to be delusional about how the world works, as a woman I don't think it's very useful or optimistic to tell women that we'll always be at a disadvantage because of our sex. While the system may be set up in that way, it's absolutely not the case if you work hard and not view yourself as a victim by default.
Obviously they're your sisters so it's up to you to decide,so I'll just leave it at this.
If you're looking for something empowering might I suggest a book in the fields of their interest. Happy to help with the same if they're interested in design. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Atomic Habits, that's a classic and a great starter non fiction book imo.

I have a book titled “Can i have it all” by Anuranjita Kumar. She is Chief people officer of Citibank and this is her autobiography kind where she tells about her corporate journey. I did not like it much but you can check it out. But one book which is in my wishlisht is “Becoming” of Michelle Obama. I think it will be a good one!

Three Thousand Stitches by Sudha Murthy. A great read. Another good book that can be read by all age groups is Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yogisawa.
