React concepts seem easy but to build a full fledged application you need to depend on third party libraries like React Query/ Redux which have their own complexity and learning curve. Angular has everything built in and by default everything is developed in typescript. Tbh React and Angular are equally tough to master.

This is an old long debate which never ends till my existence in this world.

In the last half a decade react was unassailably gaining hands over the talk . Angular was not jackshitting over it . They have started to take over the race of FFF(frontend framework face-off). 

All react devs who got hired at chatgpt burrito startups and crypto shitcoin era should be humbled with layoffs 

All angular developer who are trolled for no reason should be given bonuses and infact they be compensated with 10x their salaries.

I have been working on Android development for 5+ years now. Mostly native Android. Is it possible at my level to find new jobs in other technology (backend or Frontend web). 
My current organisation doesn't have an option to do so. So I will need to switch companies.
How should I go about it?

I am an angular dev for 2 years now and have worked on more than 6 apps till now, im trying to find angular developer openings, and not able to find anything. All the roles are senior or like 4+ years. I have learnt react and good with it but not able to get the opportunity for it. No replies even on wellfound. How to find jobs now??

Is angular dead or something?

Nowadays people often compares two different frameworks or libraries and try to keep their opinion which is best or more performant. But does that equivalent for all use cases? New frameworks or libraries are developed because developer faced some problems which was not solvable by the existing libraries. But does that mean they are the best? Well we all know how popular React and how widely used it is. Even I use React and React native as well. But does that stop Angular to be used by enterprises who were having large codebases and still uses that ? Yes I understand React is more performant than Angular but that is always not the deciding criteria to switch to a new framework. 

Its depends on lot of factors, it can be scale, no of engineers working on a project etc.  

When you have a small team and you have a dev who knows Javascript can build your web app as well as mobile app in React Native, you will choose that instead of choosing Flutter which can be more performant ( Not based on facts, just an assumption) and hiring one guy for building your mobile app because it saves your costs.

So the thought I want to portray here is that its not always the case which frameworks or tools are best and which only one should be picked.  Guys there thousands available, do choose whatever satisfies your requirements. There is always options to change and migrate as you grow and technologies should be picked based on what solves your problem at a particular time or situation.

Its okay to compare two different technologies. I am not against that as you should be aware of pros and cons of each one. 

But calling out only one as the best is the foolish or kind of blind fan mindset which we need to avoid because as engineers we should thinks of solving problems efficiently and be adaptive to whatever comes without attaching our emotions to technologies.

I am a React.js Developer & have 2 YOE (6 months at a consultancy startup + 1.5 years in a service based MNC).

I do not like working with React.js for multiple reasons & do not wish to pursue working with this further. 

I want to know what are some alternative career paths or technologies that are as much in demand & feasible to switch towards? Ideally, towards a more stable, battle-tested technology or tech stack and something that is as well paying too. 

(..continued from my original post) Some technologies that I considering are JAVA , ASP.NET & Laravel as unlike React.js, they are not loosely opinionated and don't have a constantly changing API where the way of writing code itself changes (e.g - redux and/or using data fetching libraries) . There is no standardised best practice to conform to.

But, the problem is that I find Laravel jobs are not in use in corporates or large tech companies but apparently ASP.net core jobs are not as well paying for equivalent years of experience as that of a front-end React.js developer.

Hi, I'm working as a Frontend Dev for the past 3 years. Have good understanding and in-depth knowledge of things in JavaScript, React. 
Mentored folks/peers, cracked couple of offers from startups and other companies in the past. 
However, in my initial days I always wanted to be an ANDROID DEVELOPER, learnt Java, Kotlin Android Concepts till MVVM approach. 
Nowadays, as the Frontend domain is getting more cluttered, I'm thinking to move to Android domain considering the competition would be lesser there. 
Or start REACT NATIVE. 
Need some suggestion here.

Switch to native Android development

I got 2 job offers both are in the associate web developer role. Both companies are service based 100-200 strength companies. I applied as a reactJS developer but this is what they told me about my role-

Company 1 told me that initially you will have to work on WordPress but later they might develop their product in which they will need reactJS Devs.

Company 2 told me that though the main stack will be JS and its libraries but i might have to learn other languages like PHP based upon the client requirements.

I don't want to be stuck somewhere where I am doing a completely different thing than what I have learnt (MERN stack).

Both companies took 3 rounds in core JS and reactJS.

Both companies are paying decently in the current job market.  I am confused about which one to join or whether I should ditch both and look for more specific reactJS role jobs?

So, I've been working with ReactJS for quite some time now. Kinda getting bored. So, I decided to spend some time upskilling this month and start applying for jobs next month.
I have 2 things in my mind that I want to pickup, but unable to decide in what order I should add them to my arsenal.

- NextJS 13 (app dir)
- TS (for both ReactJS and NextJS)

I also wanted to expand myself from frontend to fullstack (probably to MERN), but some fullstack devs suggested me to stick to one end and get really good at it because your expertise in one end is what fetches you a good job and not being a "jack of all trades, master of none" dev. So, this has also kept me in the middle ground right now.

I did try to explore nextJS with a UI library but most UI libs ask you to have them declared as client components. Doesnt that defeat the advantage of SSR that we get on nextJS by default? Saw many people facing this issue.

What would you suggest ?

I have joined a startup as Backend Developer Intern. I get a stipend of 6K/ Month. They said they will offer full time position after internship, but the salary will be 10-12K. 

The only good thing is I am directly working on a live project. I am making REST APIs there. 

I have 5 months of time. What should I do? Should I learn react or should I learn backend concepts more deeply. I am also planning to apply for jobs side by side. Give your valuable thoughts on what should I do?

2. I have another query as well.. 
We use next js just for front end and we are not utilising it's full potential like ssr etc. Is it worth using just for front end? People in my company say it provides better route structure but on the contrary.. React feels like a play ground whereas next is limited in provided libraries. What do you have to say.
