Rishikesh tour

I'm looking for some suggestions for the Rishikesh trip.

I'm originally from the southern part of India but have been living in Gurgaon for the past year. My friends and I are having a reunion here, and I want to make it a memorable experience for all of us.

Since my friends don't speak Hindi, I'll be acting as the translator for the group. πŸ™‚β€β†”οΈ

I'm also in charge of planning everything, and I'd love to hear your recommendations on:

  1. Transportation What's the best way for a group of us to get around the city?

  2. Accommodation and Food Any suggestions for places to stay and eat that would be enjoyable for a group?

  3. Activities What are some fun things to do in the area?

  4. Must-Visit Spots Are there any key attractions we shouldn't miss?

Our budget for this trip is β‚Ή30,000.

Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to your suggestions!

Rishikesh is very famous for adventure activities like bunge jumping (highest in India), river rafting (best river rafting in India) along with other activities. There are also a lot of scenic views and places that you can go on a hike for.

For stay, I would suggest Ashrams since they are comfortable enough with peaceful space. There are also hostels where even foreigners stay but heard you need to pay extra money for that.

Just a heads up, you won't find nonveg food and alcohol outlet in rishikesh district, have to drive to nearby district which is like 20-25mins away.

We had good stay experience at Zostel laxman jhula, it has 100mbps wifi, 3 common areas, games and did bonfire in January, the community guy is handy would help get scooty rental if don't have personal car, (won't recommend as parking is problematic)

Do visit ganga aatris, try rafting and bungee jumping at jumpin heights it's outside of rishikesh. There's also boat rides or riverside yoga classes few ashram host those.

Few street food stalls serve bhang wala samosa if you're into that, Rest jal & jalebi is pretty restaurant which serves gharwali (native) cuisine,
chotiwala is local icon outlet. Freedom cafe, Little Buddha cafe & Ganga view cafe are 3 popular riverview cafes.
