Servicenow | 7 months in the firm

I am a software engineer with 1 year of professional experience and about 2 years of experience counting all my freelance gigs as well as internships. I’ve identified that I’m good at picking up new technologies easily. I’m also very detail oriented and tend to find the moat optimal solutions even though my current position only expects me to follow the PRD provided by my tech lead. I find that most of the times, I have had to raise my concerns to my seniors for a change of an approach with me being correct almost all the time by the end of the discussion. Now I feel confused, that maybe I was being underestimated and therefore underpaid by my employer. Context: I switched to this company about 6 months ago with a package of 12 LPA and got a mere 5% hike to 12.65 LPA during last month with a promotion from being a technical associate -> software development engineer. During my meeting with the manager, i was told that my performance was ‘very good’ but since its been only 6 months, they are giving me a promotion to match my skills but not give me a good hike. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone I am working for a service based company. my profile is Devops engineer. I have a 1.6 year full stack developer experience . The last 6 months I have been doing work on the cloud. I switched to DevOps profile. I have a total of 2 YOE and my current pkg is 4.75 CTC. you all know it's time to start for appraisal so how can I take more hikes and how can I propose ?

I need advice on how much I should ask for yearly Increment. I am in a product based company as an MLOps Engineer and I am completing 1 year here. Total YoE 2 years. My current base is 18LPA. My work has been excellent for the past year, my manager is very happy with my work and my quarterly review has been good too. I need your advice on much yearly Increment should I ask. I have never been on such calls and I am feeling a bit nervous 😅. Any advice on how I should approach this call would be very helpful.

So, last month I interviewed for ServiceNow and was put on hold. Today the HR called me and said that they will be moving forward with the offer. Need some help in negotiating as to what can i get max. My current Breakup is as below. CTC: 35 Fixed: 30 Variable: 5 YOE: 4.9 years Profile i got shortlisted for is IC3 Will be grateful if anyone can help as to how much max can i ask for. They said limit is 36 Base. Can i ask for more??

I am a backend engineer, working in a tech powered fashion company. Total experience: 3.5 yrs Current CTC : 24 lac fixed, 12 lacs ESOP in 4 years I joined as a software engineer, this April I will complete 2 years in current company, but Manager saying promotion might not be possible due to current situation and less promo slots available. I have been quite a good performer last 2 years , building a crucial project from scratch and handling everything alone due to short staffing. There is sole dependency on me for that project and company has ambitious golas with that project this year. Recently got SPOT award from skip manager as well. Only talked to manager last week , although we had made a promotion action plan few months back for my promotion this cycle and I meticulously followed every points in that plan , manager doesn't seem to be fighting much for my promotion, although he always says in my face that I am his star performer. I am really upset with this. What should I do ?? Talk to skip manager? Consider switching company ? Please suggest me. Thanks. P.S : work culture and wlb is good here. How are stock refresher assigned in @servicenow? Like my present grant is of 40k usd for 4 years how much can i expect in next year hike? What is the average hike percentages here? Is it easy to transfer between teams like from QE to SWE?

I am currently an APM with a startup. Recently completed 1 year in my current org. Total work ex: 2years In my prior org worked as a product analyst. Current comp:23LPA I am unable to decide when shall i ask my manager for a promotion. I have completed 1 year as an APM and done pretty well in my current org. I am working on a highly impo/prestigious project. Earlier thought to ask after the project would be successfully implemented but now i feel that might backfire as the success of the project is unknown. What do you guys suggest?

I find myself in a rather perplexing situation at work and could use some impartial advice. Currently, I am employed at an Indian e-commerce firm where I have put in a lot of hard work. However, during the recent annual cycle, I was not promoted, and my salary hike was disappointingly meager (CCTC 14.5LPA). Naturally, I expressed my concerns to my manager, who advised me to wait until the mid-cycle as my promotion case would be reconsidered then. In the meantime, I actively sought out new opportunities, and I have received an enticing offer from a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) firm with a significantly higher compensation of 24LPA. This is substantially more than what I'm currently earning, but less than my expected CTC that is around 28-30LPA. The confusion lies in the fact that my current firm has now initiated the promotion feedback process, and it's possible that I may get the promotion soon. I'm now torn between two choices: do I stay at my current job, potentially get the promotion, and then reconsider switching, or do I seize the opportunity at the CPG firm with the better financial package? I understand that both options have their pros and cons, but I'm finding it challenging to make a decision on my own. I am working in Consulting post MBA - it is a mix of PM, Product Strategy, Implementation projects. I can work on industries and multiple offerings so learning is widespread but a slow upward curve. Pay is good considering my previous experience and peers. Work life balance is also decent. But, they are not giving promotions in my team because of some stupid leadership decisions. I will have to wait for next 6 months. So I am in dilemma if I should stay or switch. If you were in a similar situation, how did you make your decision?
