What's are the things that matter when you try to switch to other companies possibly (Maang) after 2 YOE . Is it brand value of the company that you are working , or the skills that you acquire or just DSA + system design ?

I am a software engineer with 2+years of experience at a product based company. My current CTC is around 10 lpa which I feel is below market standards. Also my wlb is terrible and growth at my current organisation has become stagnant. I mostly work on bug fixes and some minor feature enhancements.
What are the skills that are required to switch to a product based company as soon as possible with at least 15-17 lpa ? Currently I am not aiming for big tech ( FAANG) type companies as I know these will require thorough DSA , System design preparations which is not possible with my current job.

Keeping jumping companies in your early career years. Every 1-2 years. Only way to increase your package. Then start looking for stable places in your 30's.

Frontend Engineer

I have over 1.5 years of experience and and my current CTC is 7.75 LPA in a product based startup. Is it worth to switch for 10LPA or should I wait for another offer.
I have had enough of negotiations and they can’t go beyond 10LPA.
I’m decent at DSA and solved arround 500 problems on Leetcode.

I wanted to know which approach is best or you tried yourself while trying to switch. I know trends are like either going for product based companies (Amazon, Microsoft, Intel) or going for Management consultancy companies (like  Bain, BCG).

I graduated in 2021 and have worked in startups across EdTech, Cloud Communication, and currently in FinTech at a Series A startup. After 1.6 years in my first role, I pursued a 23% pay increase but faced a layoff after 10 months. Now, despite my experience, I'm finding it challenging to secure interview calls for an SDE 2 position.

I currently work at a Series A startup where I joined after accepting a pay cut.(little above my first company ctc😢 and working for 7 months). My Job is really writing bunch of code but not designing or implementing any prominent systems as i am still SDE-1.

I'm genuinely seeking your advice:
1️⃣ How do frequent job changes early in one's career impact hiring decisions, especially in different tech sectors?
2️⃣ Given my tech skills and startup background, what strategies can I employ to strengthen my resume for an SDE 2 role?
3️⃣ How significant is the company's reputation when considering a move to a more established startups/MNCs?
4. Is it worth changing or should i continue but pay is low than previous and i am not doing any sde 2 level job.

Need your suggestions, I have a total 7 years of experience and recently switched to one of the organization and this is my 3Rd switch, It has been 3 months no learning scope here and in future roadmap also I couldn't see anything much for my tech stack , and current project is too much of Micromagemet, though of switching to other company, as I switched 3 months back can try other switch now? should i still try for faang or go with this for a year, i really liked the people and team here and they are fully commited to making this startup a success and even their last company got accquired.
