Should I contact brokers from banners put up on buildings and lamp posts?

So I have to shift to HSR layout in about a month's time. I'm already based in JP Nagar, so I'll explore the area and try to look for accommodation. But what options should I pursue? Should I find listings online and go check them out, or should I call the numbers on banners which are everywhere, or should I ask random strangers living in the area I want?

There’s a flat in my building getting vacated soon and likely without an upcoming tenant. Shall I ask my landlady(she is stingy, but less interfering).

In which area is the building, and what's the rent?

The building is in 28th Main, sector-1 HSR. Near police station, rent is 25k but please try to bring it to 24k or 24.5k as the building is a bit shady and lacks a balcony at the right place and has some traffic noise from 27th Main.

Yes ask shopkeepers, security they will help. If not take yulu and roam around and contact the number on to-let boards.

As far as I come across all big gated communities have individual brokers/agents. Roam around finalize the communities available and talk to security. 99% they'll share a broker contact for that building.
