Govt is silent on anything except for Hindutva, Pakistan and Nehru
With due respect sir, companies are termed as "Private" so they can operate without much govt intervention. How much do you see US govt. doing anything to prevent layoffs there? If govt. starts restrictions on companies on "labour laws", which you see in EU ("useless"), you'd not see a lot of companies hiring in India after laying employees off in US.

The US government provides unemployment benefits.
Because you think the world revolves around Tech.
It doesn't.
Modern Tech & Startup workforce is < 0.01% workforce of India.
Govt doesn't give a shit at the moment rightfully.

As true as that is, this wonāt win them elections. They need the 99.999% of India that doesnāt give a shit about tech to vote for them first
You should actually complain to the US government. The entire IT service industry depends on the US. Most of the revenue generating customers of local product companies are in the US.
Apna dekho bhai ..no point expecting anything from anyone.. get skilled, get hired.. or start your own business(preferred in long term)
Only youtube channels covering layoff. Ye sale media wale bik gye h. No media channel cover layoff or IIM L batch not getting placed.
Everyone will show good packages from IIT which include 4 years stocks and joining bonus rather them 1 year salary. Watching this shit, Parents will send kids to IIT coaching. Then many of them will join tier 3 college and pay fees. Then these people will pay lakhs for dsa coaching from scalar or others. Then join companies and some of them are laid off again and again.
This is a cycle where middle class is at odds and business, college run by politicians, coaching are at advantage.
