It's usually a good idea not to take generic advice from random ass strangers on the internet, especially since they have no context about you or your life. You have a brain, use it to make your own decisions! If you've reached till this point in adulthood, I'm sure you're fully capable of doing so.

I have been suffering from work related anxiety for the last 3-4 months. I have recently started taking medications for it. I am supposed to move to Bengaluru as my wfh has ended. My parents think it's a good idea as it will help change my environment. I am wondering if it's a good idea to share about it at my workplace with my manager/superior. I know it's subjective, but still. Because I am worried this has started to affect my performance. Also, I am a talkative and emotional person and may end up slipping these things anyway.

I know a lot of people love working from home. But small rant here. 
Honestly, straight out of college I thought I would do too. But no, I absolutely do not.

Why? 
1. No personality development. It's honestly like an online college all over again (1/2 of my college "life" was online). I talk to a screen, waste a lot of time otherwise. 

2. I don't have a room to call my own. I know this is going to make me sound like a privileged brat but I need my privacy to feel my full confident self. My family members are always on top of my head and spy on me during work. No they really do.

3. I hate, absolutely LOATHE approaching people on teams. I'm more social, confident and comfortable working in an offline setting be it presenting something or talking to senior folks in general. 

4. I have NO life outside of the computer/home. My hobbies, interests everything are inside the tiny room I share with my parents. I still have 2 different desks (which are literally next to each other) for work and personal stuff respectively. When I had offline semesters, it was really awesome as I had balance.

I graduated in 2023 and of course I have a lot to learn, but I'm seriously thinking about searching for another job that's not WFH. I'm still early career and I think I should not be working remote. Am I stupid?

I cannot work remotely.

Work from home is hellish for extroverts. There is no alternative. I've tried co-working spaces. But nothing beats the actual office experience.

Guys please give me some tips to become fearless.  I alway fear in every work. Whether it's joining new company,taking some tough work, doing something new, you name it and I always have fear. Fear of what will happen next,how will I manage that, is it even possible, what if they don't like me etc etc etc. I am currently in my early 20's and I don't want to spend my life fearing from everything.  Please peeps guide me or give some mantras based on your life experiences how not to fear or how not to get that feeling.

 Everything is important and nothing is important.  
 Fear is important. But so is the lack of it.  
  
 Acknowledge that it's normal to feel uncertain about the future. Focus on what you can control in the present moment.  
  
 Remember that everyone is figuring things out, even if they seem to have it together. Take small steps towards your goals and celebrate progress as hard as you can.

This app has been my go to place lately. I can interact with fellow viners of my age or in the same age group so casually and in a candid way without hesitation. Put forth my thoughts and discuss anything literally. Irl it would have been difficult for me to become that expressive. 

Also I have realized this lately that our generation is more mature, kind and understanding as I came across the posts and the comments on them made by fellow viners. People here are awesome and feels real good to be here.

We often hesitate to speak openly in public gatherings or anywhere we don't find known faces. So, just wanted to know what holds you back from being your true self or putting yourself out there so candidly irl as you are on grapevine.

What holds you back?

One can never really be fully honest with everyone all the time. It can be used against you.  
  
 The trick is to know what to share with whom and when.

I wonder what other people are doing. Because I’m having some rough nights sleeping in due to anxiety.

Avoiding anxiolytics or beta blockers for now. Also avoiding a mental health therapist for as long as I can.

During office timings, I am really anxious to the point that I am unable to relax during lunch breaks as I am afraid I will get a message or a call that I might have to jump into. I know it sounds stupid, but I spend nearly 10 hours everyday with crippling anxiety. It has become so bad, I am considering quitting to work on myself just to get rid of this anxiety. However the Current market scenario doesn't allow me to me do this. I have asked my friends and family about this, but everyone says 'don't quit', 'work hard' Etc. I am sick of hearing this.

I am a start up bug and have been in the industry for 6+ years.

I sometimes find myself adding great value to people one on one (based on feedback), and even think that I have good ideas and intentions, but I am morbidly afraid of networking and find it intimidating to talk to people outside of my close circles.

I made a lot of mistakes in my life
Never ever worked hard to my fullest potential
Didn't studied well even though I had potential during JEE
Keep getting attracted to girls(very few times), even though I am training myself not to.

Becoming emotionally down often
Feeling guilty of not being able to have someone to talk to.

What I simply want is to work to my fullest potential without getting attracted to the other gender so that there are no distractions and becoming mentally strong to the point that I don't need anyone else continuously present in my life for me.

There has to be a way
Almost everyone around me are so strong
My gut believes I don't have that much time left
I just want to fix everything for my parents and my brother
And leaving with a pride and honor of a MAN.

Recently i had changed my job, previously WFH now new job WFO. I constantly feel that i may loose my job and i had to take some medicine for this as well. Doctor told me i was having pessimistic thinking and was depressed. I am the sole earning memeber of my home, 23 father dead, mother remains ill. Sister small in college.

I'm completing my studies. Working towards becoming an software engineer.
I suffer from 'overestimating what I can achieve in a couple of years and underestimating what I can do in decades'. 
I'm not sure if this is common but I pick up something, geek out about it for a few months. Come up with crazy plans. When the tough work comes my way, I slow down to a standstill. For example, right now I'm learning mobile and web development and I'll have these crazy ideas about building my own service in a couple of years. Yes, it's possible and people have done that but I don't think that has ever worked for me.

So if you are familiar with my toxic trait, I'd appreciate a few words of wisdom :)
