The world economy as we know is stabilizing but its just the US economy that is stabilizing there is a real cash crunch happening at most startups and its effect have started from the last week 


One of the companies in which my friend is working Spyne.ai layed off closed to 20-30 folks across various departments tech, marketing, sales , product, hr and ai their total workforce is around 80 employees

Insider news also states they even fired their chief of product, and its becoming tough to sustain, they even gave esops to employees on a valuation they havent achieved yet during appraisal season 

It was a forced resignation, 2 3 folks were even said leave we wont be giving you any severance.

Yesterday even recieved news off layoffs inside TCS(US), myntra and navi

Even hearing news from zs and paytm that they might start a fresh round of layoffs

Navi does this half-yearly if not quarterly. Supposed to be performance based but systems and checks are not in place to assure the process is unbiased. 

Myntra - not an organisation which does layoffs much.

I was talking to one of the Navi recruiters and she became uninterested once I told her I was recently impacted by the layoff and can join within a few weeks.
I mean it's funny how they don't want to interview immediate joiners who are impacted by the restructuring.
I'm surprised as other company recruiter eyes lit up knowing I can join immediately but navi finds it disgusting.

Had a similar experience with udaan in 2022. Later the recruiter itself got laid off 💀

2 Engineering Director's and a Marketing Director left in last 2 months. 
CTO, CGO, CHRO have put down papers and are leaving soon. 
A Sr. Engg Director has also resigned.
A couple of SDE's joined and are leaving within the month of joining and more older SDE's leaving too.
These are voluntary exits despite the current layoff and downtrend.

Seen quite a few top/mid level exits in Tata Digital over the past two years.

What is going on in Tata Digital? Is the tech and Product teams actually good enough?
Or is it something related to process/culture?

Arround 30% of the backend team at Devtron, Gurugram has been laid off citing performance issus which includes both Interns and full-time. The problem is they mentioned FTE on the offer letter of the interns still their offer were revoked.

All of them were hardworking guys who used to work for more then 10+ hours a day in office, completing their task in ASAP.

Performance was not an issue, they just wanted to layoff.
Interns were paid 20 K per month and were expected to work like FTE with 1 to 2 year of experience.

A month before they started pressuring to complete and handover all the task as soon as possible to get it into production 😂 so that they are in no loss.

The layoff was done on the same day on the company organised a party to celebrate.


This is for people who will be joining them as Inter n or FTE. Do not join the company if you are not ready for this thing and you are not ready for toxic management and work culture.

Work life balance is 0 here 

Be ready to become a robot 🤖 if you still join.
