[Thread] How did you evolve financial mindset

Most of us have had financially restrictive childhoods and now earning well above our parents at the same age. (You got the point, Don't come at me with inflation and all)

It has been ingrained in you to save resources and spend less. Deprive now, so your future can be better.

But future is uncertain

How have you built the mindset or financial habits that let you enjoy the present and also not worrying about the future?

Honestly learn to invest / trade become good at it. Money becomes obsolete after a point you can buy anything. My parents were very giving and helped people a lot, pop’s acquired good support of the community and is now a MP bcoz’s of his nature and still helps people out without thinking.

Money is just a means to an end and nothing else

Bro worked hard to become rich. I was born upper middle class and dad’s dad was a welder in railway. Dad worked hard became IRS. He was always helping others since I’m seeing him. I worked hard to have multiple exits as founder later became a Fund manager and VC. Honestly it’s our family’s second generation that’s above poverty line. It takes time and hard work bro🙋

I read Rich Dad Poor Dad. It helped me understand how money works.

And then a lot of Youtube videos about money.

There are 2 ways to get rich:

  1. You save and invest high percentage of your salary and get rich in 15-20 years

  2. You make more money than you can spend.

I chose the 2nd one.

The only mindset is do everything in moderation. Divide your earnings into needs, wants, future etc. And spend accordingly
