It's just an average touristy place that got famous due to famous people visiting it and also due to it's old legacy(1943). Went there once when I first arrived in Bangalore. Waited for like 45 mins and liked it initially. But I tried other places nearby and found them to be mostly better(both cost and taste wise).

Yeah the cost is fine but the taste is pretty ordinary. 
  
 Waiting for that long for the average taste is not worth going.

Exactly! My inner bachelor self takes the cost into account as well ;)

If you like Rameshwaram cafe dose then yeah this will be average. Dose is fine not at all below average. So many ppl go there because for a lot of ppl who live around the area it's sort of part of their routine.

Yeah filter coffee is one the best around here ... 
  
 Dosas are normal what I feel

Food is fucking shit. Omy the sambhal , idli and vada. It was chap. Dosa was pretty average

Have been here multiple times before Covid era. I love Dosa and filter coffee here, yes it's crowded for sure but we enjoyed here.

Controversial statement: Bangalore restaurants are literally spoiling dosa as they want.

Honestly I go there with my wife a lot and you have to stand in a queue. I do not eat the dosa but my wife says it’s better than Rameshwaram and I feel the prices are pretty low still. Every such location at some level is overhyped but somehow I get the feeling from staff that they are committed and not money minded. Bit of an old school mentality and people might perceive them as rude but I feel that’s also a standard in most places in Bangalore

Not worth anymore man, been going there since childhood and its changed so much for the worse now. Food standards are not upto the mark, attitude towards customers, insanely huge crowds managed poorly.  
 I would prefer CTR over this anyday!!

I am from bombay and from time to time I crave pav bhaji. I havent had any lucky in finding good pav bhaji spots on swiggy/zomato and the bhaji to pav is fucked. There’s so little bhaji and 2 big pavs. 

Please drop your go to places for pav bhaji, taste is the main criteria :D

Went to Hydrama (that name though 🤌) in Airia Mall

This is their Pulled Butter Chicken, pulled chicken in Butter chicken gravy
Idea and execution 💯 
Taste - 7.5 (It was lil sweet for my taste buds)

But the Garlic Naan and Butter Chicken are match made in heaven ❤️ 

Plus, they had live band singing classic Bollywood on weekend, so more pointers.

P.S. I'm not responsible if you start craving butter chicken now 🫣

Sooo I feel like Bangalore is a city that lives on Hype, everyone is just trying to be cool and are too afraid of actually call out stuff for what they are. 

Few examples (my personal opinion) 

Eat Naru - it’s good ramen, but you can definitely find better or as good (bookings are sold out in minutes) 
Pizza 4Ps - Average pizza, great hospitality but not worth waiting for a booking a month in advance 
Ultrahuman ring - It’s not even that accurate for that price 
March Tee - good T-shirt, but you can find so much better at that price point

Totally Agree with this, everyone wants to get validation or some kind of approval from ultra rich or dumb influencers, I think it's totally influenced by Tech Cuties mostly from North India working in Startups (HSR, Koramangala). These dumbfucks who never stepped out of their world get excited for silly things, imagine people standing outside a biryani shop at 4am, people standing in a queue sandwich..uff this all insta validation stories matters for them, they seek happiness by impressing or making someone jealous of.
