It's pretty small and inconspicuous, but if I save even one person from joining this organisation, I will consider it worth it. Based on first hand accounts from 3 very reliable sources who are confirmed employees.

A very basic chatbot platform, being marketed as a Gen AI first product. They don't even have basic NLP and claim to be Gen AI. 

The founder & ceo is completely directionless. This is his side hustle, but while interviewing new hires he claims that he is the full time CEO (this is not true, he is barely available and always busy in his main business which is a car dealership) 

The co-founder is an IIT-grad, and due to the Founder's absence is basically running the show though he has zero business acumen. He constantly bitches about the founder to senior employees.

Of course, with such a toxic back story, it is hell to work here. No unity in the team, lot of back biting and bitching, public humiliation on WhatsApp groups, constant blame game. Basically, a shitshow. 

Do not, do not, do not join this place. Avoid it like the plague.

Was talking to a friend of mine who got laid off early this year in January. While the org gave him 3 months salary additional to the leave encashment payment. 

He mentioned most of the amount was deducted in TDS as what was left for him was not even two months salary.


Imagine someone who got laid off and is in dire need of money, He gets some severance from the organization and government eats majority of that as well? Absolute shitshow. 

IMO there should be some clauses to exempt this income from tax liability atleast in the same FY. You can ask him pay additional taxes when he gets the job but not on severance package.

So you have to pay taxes on your severance package as well?

- The court observed that such a scenario where they want intervention, they should have immediately reached out to Olympics committee and requested postponing of the final bout.

- It happened a day late, when final had already been fixed with the semifinalist who lost to Vinesh.
- The grievance seeked was not fight, but joint silver medal for Vinesh

Court's response
- The panel sympathises with Vinesh on human level
- They have ordered changes to be made to the weigh in rule, as they agreed 100gm could be water weight/bloating
- They also commented that rules cannot be changed, but will consider if provisions allow
- The appeal was made on 8 Aug 2024 (after the final happened), case was to be heard on 9 Aug. They deferred the verdict to 11 Aug (closing day of Olympics), again deferred to 13 Aug 6 pm (today) and now stretched to 16 Aug.
- There has been too much media attention on the case, they cannot go wrong here.

A friend used to work as AVP at HSBC’s credit analyst team in Bangalore Office. Apparently, one of the female AVPs loves gossiping and went around the office saying our guy doesnt work at all and is shitting on a crucial project. When reported to the lead VP, he failed to take any action.

Upon threatening intimation to HR, the lady got wind of the whole situation and calls up our guy applogising and stuff. But the back bitching doesnt stop and this time our guy ends up leaving the toxic workplace.

No cookies for guessing who’s in line for promotion next.

Other reported incidents against which no actions were take
1) making juniors cry
2) deleting teams billable hours without informing anyone
3) not informing about leaves and then creating chaos over non completion of work

Today I sat with a small biz owner to figure out why he wasn't earning enough from his business. Turns out he wasn't accounting for GST twice (you need to do that if you are buying and selling forward as a trader). 

Calculating GST amount itself on total invoice value is a nightmare when you account for other things like figuring out HSN-wise tax rates and logistics. And then splitting into two for state and central tax. 

And he's still educated but weak at math and accounts. I can only imagine how much the average business owner struggles with their own accounting. Heartbreaking stuff.
