This has to happen when your countries politicians are themselves uneducated.
Our youth unemployment has always been >20%+ even 2014 and before.
We need to discourage the craze behind government jobs and engineering and at the same time encourage manufacturing and blue-collar job sectors massively to improve this number.

It’s election time my man. We will see a huge increase in employment for all unemployed youth in the BJP IT And Riots cells. Abhi to kaafi desh bacha hai jalane ko.
Farzi data hai ye,
Thoda credible source dekh lia karo,
forbes ke hisab se single digit % hai.

One more thing to keep note age 16-20 folks are almost universally jobless (90+% unemployed) in India (test prep grind), whereas in certain other countries kids have part time /basic level jobs. It's has been like this atleast for past 3 decades.
Moreover ages 20-25 could be 60% unemployed,
again (higher education or test prep aka gate/upsc/neet)
All in all, ignoring the context "youth unemployment" is skewed metric, would miss out on larger picture.
Maybe Just try to have an iota of critical thinking, instead of believing in fake narratives.
We need some data on how many of these youths are products of madarsa education system
Increase manufacturing. Create jobs, not seek them!!!
Though the current environment for "creating jobs" is shit. Idk how's this going to be solved by the govt
India has not done any official census in 2021!yet, not sure how much should we trust these data coming out from biased sources especially foreign media.
