What to do in such scenarios???

I was working in a toxic environment, which should be a separate post, too long to explain here, tldr, I was put in pip, and then I resigned and put my notice, I like a responsible employee started finishing off my projects and tasks, giving KTs to other folks and junior. but now after this my company is saying ur lwd is 2 days from now, when in my contract notice is 2 months, HR says company has the right to waive off notice period without paying severance. What can I do currently, I don't have any job back up, so have to be unemployed for a while without any severance. Is this legally right from company sides, what possible things can I do currently?

It didn't bode well with the founder when I refused, and he terminated my employment with immediate effect. I haven't received a salary for the last month I worked there. The founder and the team are not responding to any of my calls, emails, and text messages. Any advice on how to navigate this? Contemplating the legal route now.

Hello good folks of grapevine! So, I resigned from my last job last year in November. As per the company policy I was promised that my F&F will be settled 45 days after my last working day which happens to be the first week of Jan'24. For some reason the signed documents got delayed from my end by 10 days. It's been more than one and a half months now and my F&F is still not credited. I keep calling the HR and that bitch literally gives me the same shit over and over again that "the signature from the CFO is pending". I'm really confused about what to do. Is posting on LinkedIn a good idea or will it affect my career? The amount is significant, hence I don't want to risk it. In case there is a legal procedure to this, what are the next steps? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, I have 15+ years of experience in marketing and branding working in one of the top 10 fastest growing company Issue - co. has given 4% hike with 10% variable against my eligible limit. Irony is I am top performer in my team my increment letter states have over achieved my krs and kpis On top of it, co. has cheated me on paying my notice pay (bought out by them) And today am at net net loss on joining here feeling burn out and not sure what should I do

Sorry for the long post :( I'm a 2021 graduate from a tier 3 college. I was working at a small startup based in Bengaluru that is into SAAS. The headcount is less than 20 and a completely remote job. I don't have any notice period. I was told that I can leave the company whenever I want without any prior notice. And it's not mentioned anywhere in the contract. I had a promotion due in September 2022 in which the new agreement was supposed to be implemented where I had to serve a 90 day notice period and salary hike of 15% of my current CTC. But the promotion was put on hold till now. I asked them multiple times but I was told that it's on hold indefinitely due to "shortage of funds". On December 31st I sent a resignation letter as it will be my last working day. Even though it was a very short notice, I completed all the documentation about the things I worked on. Anyone who can understand English can deploy the entire product. And moreover everyone had worked on the product and almost everyone had a good understanding of the product. Sometime in 2021, I received a bonus of 62k which was sent to my personal bank account (the company itself didn't have a corporate account back then). Since the company didn't provide me any work laptop, I was told casually that I can use the bonus to purchase a new laptop or keep it to myself. I made a mistake of now waiting to get the December month salary before resigning. Now he's telling me that the bonus he sent is for the company laptop and it will be adjusted as my December month salary. When I asked about the purpose of the bonus was not to get the company laptop but to keep it myself, he's refusing to accept it. (Almost everyone in the company uses their personal laptop). And coincidentally there was a service outage as the company uses free services wherever available (for example, oracle cloud free tier, free version of slack, GitHub and lot more). The company haven’t paid us 3-6months of salary saying that there’s a delay in raising VC funds. They also didn’t pay TDS and gave us Form 16 for ITR. I reached out to our client company where I worked briefly and they were happy to offer me a job there. I’m dangerously out of money in savings and it’s still uncertain in my current company about any funds. So I have given a early date to him because I really need their salary and joining bonus to survive actually. I thought I can immediately relieve from my current company as I don’t have finished projects and haven’t involve in new. But they are not responding to my calls and mail requesting for immediate resignation. What should I do now ?

Previously I worked in Persistent Systems for 2 years. Recently my hr called me to share the screen and resign. They have given me 7 days time to submit laptop and all the assets, leave the company. I just want to understand can't we do anything if they asked to do force resign. Because I have been in this company for 2 years, past 6 months they started doing this for atleast 40 employees per month only from my branch Hyderabad . Now it has become per week because they don't have projects and lot of projects are going to end in few months and already few projects moved out because when I spoked with senior in the company they are saying projects signed for 5 year's contract has now not interested to move. I asked why because of internal company politics, favouritism, fake and backdoor employees, over commitment due to these projects are not delivered in given deadline. How employees Will look for another oppurtunity in 7 days, also in my case when said to my recruiter that I am laid off they didn't schedule interview call then I changed my plan started saying them that I am having offer of A from x company going to join in next 15 days, then they shared scheduling interview. Won't there be any legal action we can take on employer as an employee in this cases.

It’s disheartening to see 1000s of people being laid off in recent times. Most of them have a family to feed and EMIs / bills to pay. Today it’s them and tomorrow it could be Me and You as well. And it’s pretty much clear that these new age companies are not empathetic and would go to any extent to meet their goals. Why isn’t any employee doing anything about these atrocities? Following are the few ways to send out a strong message to these employers for abusing / blackmailing / and forcing resignations and PIPs (share more in comments) 1. Boycott their products / Services - make a noise about it on social media. 2. Stop subscribing to their IPOs or start dumping their stocks. 3. Uninstall their apps.
