I had a very very weird dream  
  
 Bahubali scenario, we have to save the Prince. So Rajmata, Prince and Senapati (who was the Engineering Lead of our company 🤭) and I (I think I was the princess, but who cares about princess when Prince's life is important) 
 And we were dashing to safe location on a Rikshaw (hand pulled one, but elaborately designed) 
  
 We faced so many obstacles, attacks but the rickshaw kept on moving.

I’ll go first, getting that old PSP, the one which had WiFi in built. Or maybe PlayStation 2 which was like 5k-6k back then.

Now, I could get a PS5 or buy games to play on my PC, but the feeling is lost. Just like my childhood.

I guess I lived a part of my childhood today. Went on a walk and had a Cornetto IceCream, which back then I didn’t have the money for and had to buy an Orange/Cola IceCream. Then, I walked around my society.

Saw a few kids playing football and instantly teleported back to when I was a kid.

Now that child is gone and the dream has too. 
But still, it feels good remembering that 5 year old me would be proud of adult me, and that’s what truly matters. 🥰

I made this exact post 1 year back and it reminded me of how far I’ve come. I hope it makes you feel that too. ❤️

 Was clubbing with friends and one girl ripped apart the t-shirt of this guy friend. She then proceeded to rub alcohol on his chest. 
  
 Poor girl, the guys girlfriend was there and smacked her so hard on the head that she almost fainted. 🥴 
  
 I was so shocked that I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

I have been talking to this woman lately at work since the past 2 months (I KNOW dating at workplace isnt a great idea but pasand aagai kya karu) . Currently, we are mere workplace buddies and not in a relationship. 

On somedays she is like really friendly with me and starts talking about her life and I love listening to her. 

On certain days she is extremely unapproachable and feels like a stranger. 

I know mood swings hote etc but why would she ignore me completely on some days while try to engage in meaningful conversations on other days.

It keeps alternating and its very annoying. 

I feel like supporting her on bad days but she doesn lt want that it seems.

I feel my life is extremely difficult after demise of my beloved father at the age he should have  not left us this early he was 51 and now without him my life is just extremely difficult in all aspects  , people around me , relatives , career aspect marriage aspect future everything just scares me and  i feel i cannot reach out to anyone for my help not even my mother with my problems I feel if i reach out to anyone they just shut it like dont overthink , please stop with your negativity I just dont know how to get on with life He was like shield to us Now i dont know even me , my mom , my sibling has changed like anything Nothing feels good anymore

I live in Bangalore with 2 other flatmates in a  popular society in Bellandur. This one night my flatmate started doing some Nashe because his Hinge date stood him up at the restaurant.

I was like whatever. Who even cares about this. I had to go on a date with this girl I had been seeing for a couple of weeks.

We went to Ironhill Bangalore and had a great time. She said that she wanted to see my society. So we went there afterwards and one thing led to another and we ended up in my room. 

The next morning when I woke up I heard someone scream. It was my flatmate who saw my date leaving and he started crying saying that she was the one who stood him up. I took him to his room to calm down. Tab tak she left.

Later that day he started drinking a lot because of this and blamed his qismat. I did not know that he was drinking and I only came to know later. That was a big mistake for me.

I had to go on a trip the next day so I was busy packing. I asked him to get me 10,000 cash from ATM while I would go to get printouts of papers I needed in my village.

He took my wallet and left.

2 hours later. He came back home and gave me the transaction receipt. Apparently, he kept the transaction receipt in his left pocket and ripped up Rs. 10,000 ke notes in full Nashe and threw them away thinking that it was the reciept.

I slapped him so hard that day and asked him to vacate the flat. Made him sleep on the bloody footpath that night.

A very senior manager who barely drinks, got too pumped up during our offsite. Started ordering shots for everyone, one after the other. We had never seen him dance, and somehow, he was the person who danced the most that night.

Eventually, he started openly cursing at a partner (in a playful way, but could easily be non playful), and somebody recorded this. 
I think the video circulated, and it's been weird for him since.

It is not the usual society rule, but I have had this longing of own house.

Childhood was spent I  government house, adjusting with members of family.

Now I am earning fine, will have 20% of loan in liquid cash by end of year.

But I also have practicality now. No fancy house are spared in these rains, there are so many repairs - one thing is repaired, second one goes down then third then fourth, bigger the house more you have to clean - wtf is this dist coming from, then you have asshole neighbours. And be scared what if there's a fire, robbery, calamity.

I had just one dream, but really rethinking the whole plan now.
So lost to be honest.

My dream was to work at early stage startup as a Software Engineer bcoz startups were cool. But the toxic environment and lack of organisations made it a nightmare to work at. 

Then I became a PM at a startup after getting hyped about Product Management. And then I realised no matter what you do, the CEO does whatever he feels like. And months later the project is scraped. And I learn only the things a PM should not do.

So what's the role that you got excited about that turned to shit?

What was your dream role until reality turned it into shit?

We evolved to live in small tribes and now live outside of our natural habitat, in an advanced civilization. One effect of this mismatch is that there are a bunch of things that feel dangerous to us that aren't actually dangerous, leading us to be way too risk averse. Like:

- Asking someone out on a date
- Trying something new even though you'll suck at it at first
- Quitting your job to start a company or try a career in the arts
- Putting your real voice out there on controversial topics

For primates living in a small tribe, rejection, embarrassment, failure, and criticism posed actual material dangers. These things are not dangerous today, but our software hasn't been updated. So we miss out on living our best life, hiding in the 1-4 zone of the danger scale. In a world of overly risk averse people, the epiphany that the 4-7 zone is actually a safe place to play is a superpower.
