What's the most effective method you've found for dealing with work-related stress? How did you discover this method?

Hi Guys, I'm an SDE and I have this weird problem where I stress too much when some work is given to me which I don't understand. Basically I'm not scared of high workload, as long as I know how to do it. Because then I know IT WILL BE DONE, I just have to work to finish it. But when I get stuck on a problem, I DONT KNOW IF IT WILL BE DONE, I just keep thinking about it even if I close my laptop. The more I think, the more scary the problem becomes and then I start thinking if it continues and I'm not able to deliver more work, I might get fired and then during background verification for the next company, they will see I was fired and then no one will hire me. Basically my thoughts spiral out of control and make my life miserable to the point where I don't feel hungry. If I'm confident I'm very confident, I feel like i can do any problem but when I see myself failing multiple times, i lose my mental strength I need help and I want to improve this nature, not get stressed when things go south. Do you guys feel the same or know how to handle it Any books or words of wisdom or thought process that you follow which helps you deal with job related work stress will be extremely helpful.

Recently i am facing some personal issue and it is difficult for me to focus on the work in the office. How do you guys handle this? Do you have any tips

Please tell me if there is any survival kit to survive the layoff. I am a Product Manager and have been laid off yesterday. Since then I have been panicking and feeling anxiety all the time. I am trying to be calm and handle this with all my patience but I am failing into this. I feel lost, confused, and shattered. Even breathing feels like a task right now. I can sense my heart rate going fast. Is it normal to feel this way?

The project I am in right now sucks. It ends a month from now but the managers are very annoying. There is this one guy who cannot shut up and keeps telling you what to do and I really cannot focus or work with him. I'm just angry most of the time. I've told this to my company and for all the obvious reasons they're taking the clients side. I do feel like the company I am working for isn't worth it anymore. They also said that they haven't got a new client in a couple of months, so that's another reason for them to keep sticking up their existing clients. I don't feel like applying for jobs at the moment. I kinda need a break after this project is over but they're already adding me to another project. Any ideas suggestions on how to deal with this. How do you deal with office stress? Need some motivation to shut the hell up and start looking for jobs.

Started meditating now and use my Apple Watch for guidance. I wonder what other people are doing. Because I’m having some rough nights sleeping in due to anxiety. Avoiding anxiolytics or beta blockers for now. Also avoiding a mental health therapist for as long as I can.

How much stress do you think is okay at work? How do you measure stress?

I have been suffering from work related anxiety for the last 3-4 months. I have recently started taking medications for it. I am supposed to move to Bengaluru as my wfh has ended. My parents think it's a good idea as it will help change my environment. I am wondering if it's a good idea to share about it at my workplace with my manager/superior. I know it's subjective, but still. Because I am worried this has started to affect my performance. Also, I am a talkative and emotional person and may end up slipping these things anyway.

Just wanted to see how others deal with the pressures they have at work. Everyone has their own way of dealing with situations. So how do you manage?
