Never owned a fitness watch because not interested in always having things monitored, but I am intrigued with this resting heart rate part of it.

Suggest a good one, please?

Fitbit smart bands are the best. Imo.

Mine is always between 55-58 (unless I have a week with multiple ragers)

Some people with vitamin and mineral deficiencies may have elevated hr, as an example iron deficiency raises hr significantly, not a good parameter for measuring heart health. BP would be a better measure imho, my bp averages around 112-115 system and 75-80 dys while heart rate is 90-95 due to iron deficiency.

But iron deficiency is anyway a bad thing. So why not

Mostly people suffer from it nowadays, the trio b12, iron and vit d is mostly less than optimal levels in people in recent times which can be corrected easily but what I meant was that even docs don't recommend that resting bpm to be considered a criteria for good heart health, mostly dys BP is more important criteria if we look at it bare minimum.
