Me and my wife are 30 years old software engineer with no kids. Draw 7 lac a month please some yearly bonus. We invest 2 lac a month combined into equity market through mutual funds. 

Expenses: 1.5 lac a month including everything, lives in Bangalore in good society, owns a car, don't thing much before spending. 

Still after everything left with 3 lakhs every month in bank account. Not sure how to use that. We both don't have any fancy "shauk" where we can spend and hence don't have an urge to earn more. 

Any suggestions???

Hey - we are also similar to you. Would strongly suggest finding something you’re passionate about. 
  
 For us (primarily me) - got a dog, took a 6 month sabbatical, travelled to 30+ countries in this time, left job to pursue startup idea, spend time with parents, learn language, improve fitness, learnt some coding, etc 
  
 It’s a pretty good position to be in - just explore I’d say

Critiquing capitalism isn't a personal attack; it's about refining the system. Understanding its flaws allows us to make it fairer for everyone.

●"Critique, Don't Opt Out" - Working Towards a Better Capitalism

Suggesting one should avoid capitalism if they criticize it oversimplifies the issue. Critique is a call for reform, not rejection. It's about making capitalism more equitable, not abandoning it.

No offense to the author, but the excessive toxicity that some folks spread across social media, be it on Twitter or LinkedIn, with others blindly hopping on board, really highlights how we sometimes let our critical thinking slide.

Hello Grapeviners

So I guess I hit the mid-life career crisis and finally resigned from Microsoft abruptly yesterday. 

Reasons for resignation:
1. I am saturated with my work and feel out of fuel now.
2. No Pay Raise or Stocks since 2 years.
3. No Promo in last 2 years even after being a top performer and winning multiple awards and accolades.
4. Was promised by my manager that I will be promoted in Feb but now he/she quotes budget.

What my manager says:
1. You have a valid L1B, don't resign.
2. Says you will get the promo in September but now it is not possible.

Please Note: I resigned abruptly without any offers in hand. I guess managers think that folks who have L1B won't resign so their promo can be delayed.

Just wanted to share with the the community. Thanks 🙏

Half of me wanna yell at you for being stupid, but other half tells me you know better about appreciation and promo thing within org. If you don’t regret it, it’s good then!

  In my previous organisation, my manager used to give me the same feedback in every 1-1 I had with her, that am not active post my work timings, I don't extend and work. She would say, I am not required to be active on slack outside my working hours or on my offs. However, I should check the updates and acknowledge it even if it's my off or outside working hours. I saw my other colleagues doing same and when they did she would ask some or the other updates thus indirectly they had to work even on offs/outside working hours.   
     
 I worked there for 1 year and didn't give a fuck about her feedback. I would just say, yeah I'll do but never did.    
     
 This month, they laid off and I was among other people who was affected. I am glad that I didn't sacrifice my health and personal life for this bullshit.

Just curious to know what are some under rated youtube channels out there with quality and engaging content. It could be related to space, science, CS, or maybe misc (but in terms of productvity/learning). It serves as both, kill the time, and learn few cents, even if we're paying just mere attention while having lunch or maybe in metro etc.

I'm talking about under rated ones, so this does not include Veritasium, Real Engineering, 3Blue1Brown, Computerphile, or Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell.

For me these list are as follows:
a.  Welch Labs: Covers mostly maths, science and in general AI related learning models.

b.  Think Twice: Maths again, but with better visuals.

c.  Oleksandr Stepanenko: I just love this channel to see crispy robots with sounds of their movements.

d.  BPS.space: I love his RnD about rockets, their soft landing and failures. I never get bored while binging this.

e.  Jamila Musayeva: Etiquettes n stuffs, satan have to learn these things to offend others professionally. *STANDARDS*

f.   Ben Eater: Computer hardware in action, with scratch.

g.  Looking Glass Universe: Quantum mechanic stuffs, in the same line as Veritasium.

What are some great courses/ sources to learn stock trading?
I am not talking about courses with hundreds of hours of material. Please recommend something with just enough understanding and details so I can learn to make informed decisions in the market. It would help if the cost of the course is also not very high or is free.
