Work life of Network Engineer

Hi friends, I am working as a network engineer for the past 2+ years. As a network engineer I do work on shifts ( mostly night shift ) I am bit confused here, Whether to continue in the same field or switch to another technology. Can anyone help me like what will be the future of network engineer also the career growth in it. And what package I can expect after 5 years in network domain.

I'll be joining Navi next month as a fresher. Just heard about the layoffs. How should I proceed in this startup. Should I start preparing for new opportunities or wait almost a year ( if they don't layoffs) for future opportunities? Company is doing good at financial terms I guess. Confused kindly suggest all opinions are appreciated?

I read the glassdoor reviews and it says a bootlicking, inexperienced management and very bad work life balance. It also says good growth and good pay. I try to stay optimistic and ask folks at Navi as to what is the ground reality. Can you share instances of what is the work culture or just give your reviews?

Hey I am an experienced network engineer having experience around 5.5 years but want switch my career profile as a software engineer in any good startup or product company in next 6 months. Any suggestions if it is possible or any route to take to be skilled enough to work as a software engineer.
