My previous employer had marked incorrect date of exit in EPFO portal whereas my relieving letter has the correct details mentioned.

I am planning to switch soon and it's taking lot of time to rectify the date in portal.

Do HRs accept such cases? Has anyone been through this? I was only employed for 2 months in this org.

My last employer incorrectly marked my date of exit on the EPFO portal which now creates an overlapping employment.
Is there anyone who faced this similar problem ?
How did you get it rectified?

Hey,
I graduated in June’21 , and joined a company but then I got a better opportunity and joined another company in December’21 and resigned from my current company in December’21.
But the new company wanted immediate joining and I had to join the new one and I was also serving notice in period in previous company. 
So this led to 2 months overlap in my epfo history which is now affecting my BGV when I am trying to switch. 
Please help the fellow lady techie, as I have no idea what to do :(

Guys i have fought with my previous company manager and HR resigned as well 60 days ago ..my doe is not updated in UAN .please tell me wether i can update it by myself or employer approval is mandatory because if these notification goes to them for approval they will definately take revenge and mark wrong date

Given that it's been 2 weeks of joining the new company, I have received offer from another company. 
Do I need to serve notice period? In 2 week I have done nothing so far and little to no KT which has no value.

Hello guys, I resigned from my job in July and my last working day was August. Due to medically conditions, i have been unemployed so far and havent come back to the corporate world as of yet. 
I opened my epf account and it still shows previous company as current as in there is not exit date shown there .

Is it normal? Will it show after i join a company again? What to do ?

I resigned from Capgemini as I got the offer. I was very excited to join the new organisation. When I joined the new organisation in there BGV process they found service overlap. And then they asked me to resign. Now I got to know that every IT company is checking service history in EPFO portal. Will I consider my career is in danger?? I'll not get any job now in IT ? Before Capgemini I was absconded from one organisation and that is causing and service overlap with Capgemini in EPFO. I am the only source of income for my Family. Please suggest what I can do in such scenario ?

I officially left my previous organization in October 2023, but I actually worked until December 2023. 
I was going through a financial emergency and requested them to pay November and December month salaries in October itself, to which they complied, and did my entire full n final clearance in October itself.

Unfortunately, the finance team made errors: my end of service date in the PF account is listed as October, and there were no tax deductions nor PF paid for November and December, also causing issues with my pay slips. My experience letter correctly states my last working month as December. I've tried to rectify the situation by asking my previous organization to update my end of service date, but due to the missing PF deductions, it will not be possible.

Now i am joining a new org and i am afraid i will fail the background check cz of all this and they are demanding for last 3 months payslips while i have payslip only for october which includes Salary till December under “other prerequisite” 

Please advice on a way out. I do not wish to lose opportunities due to this situation.

Hey guys, I left my previous company on Mar22. I accumulated sizeable pf amount. Then I made a switch to new company. In may22, i get a message from PF that they are auto transferring my previous pf balance to new pf account. However, i now realised that my amount had been deducted from prev account but never credited to new account. Can anyone please help?

I joined company A and worked there for 3 Years. Now I have switched and joined company B. 
EPF has two accounts. One for company A and one for company B. 
Now the problem is when I try to merge both the accounts it rejects my request as my basic salary in Company A was greater than 15000 and irrespective of that company A made a contribution in EPS (Employer Pension Scheme). 
Now without closing the EPS account from Company A there is no way to merge the EPF account. 

When I contacted company A, they said they don't have any solution for this problem it's been 10 months with the same issue. 

Any suggestions/solutions???

Thanks to everyone who responded! I am super stressed cz of the situation and counting on the community because i’ve got nowhere else to turn to. It’s going to be a long post, but please keep up if you think you can remotely find a solution to this🙏🏻

In my post, I mentioned that my relieving letter states the date as "Dec," as verbally communicated by my ex-employer. However, today when I requested the letter from HR, they went back on their words and they indicated it would show October to align with their records for audits which would otherwise create a discrepancy since my final settlement was in October.

Now, my resume states my experience until December, prompting questions during interviews about why I left in December. 
However, for background verification form that i had to urgently submit today, I listed my last working date as October because supporting docs will mention october only and i was out of time & options. 

1. Will this two-month discrepancy on my resume cause significant issues? Are the dates in resume and BGV form matched? If not, whats given more preference?

2. How do I explain the advance payment reflected in my payslip? If the new org comes to label it as severance pay, I lack evidence to prove otherwise, especially since my resignation was verbal.

3. Will my new manager come to know of the disparity between my resume and BGV data?

4. ⁠I need to provide last 3 months payslips and i told new HR I'm seeking payslips for November and December. Now, My ex-employer can't provide them as well since payment was earlier. How do I cover up and offer payslips to HR for Aug-Sep-Oct instead? How do I explain the Oct payslip discrepancy mentioned in point 3?

Update- ex-org screwed up BGV data

Hi All ,

I am facing issue in PF details of previous organisation. 

In EPFO account PF history DOJ should be 2015 but there is mentioned DOJ and DOE both are same due to this 3 companies declined my offer with reason “discrepancies found “ .

Meanwhile I have requested to previous organisation for correction but it’s been 7 days no response.

Please 🙏  I need help if someone have any idea that how it can be resolved it will be really really helpful for me . I am already serving notice period and offer I got is on hold due to this issue .

Hi guys,

I joined a crap company just so that I can get some income and not freeload at home and I have been applying for other better jobs.

My plan is if within 2-3 months, I get a better job then I will abscond from here and not show this company in my resume.

I don't want a relieving/experience letter and I don't want the salary or PF. I just want to abscond as soon as I get the offer.

Can the company do something, like legal action, if I abscond?
