Is this a void career?
Hello there, I am a regular 3.5 yr exp web dev. I joined Grapevine, just to express my inner thoughts and it's much better to be anonymous. I got stuck in a void !!! Rn what I a getting is much less as per my experience. The daily routine seriously makes me feel I am a worthless and unskilled person. The type of person who if quits his job will never find another all because I am not good at anything. The main fight is I want to switch to some PM or consultant role but I am filled up with self-doubt and scared of thinking that I am unskilled regular labour, who has somehow gotten into IT... Whether you call it self doubt/laziness /indiscipline things are not helping me to grow and crack a new job with a better daily routine. Appreciate your suggestion/feedback. But please help me and suggest to me how can I get into a technical consultant or any managerial role.

Don't let yourself be brought down by your own negative thoughts. Life is fairly simple, we work for 30-40 years and the main purpose is to provide for ourselves (food and shelter). Don't complicate it much more than that.
The way to get out of your self doubt is to UPSKILL, be confident about what you can do, and then switch to something else. It only takes GRIT to upskill. So it's all upto you, end of the day.
Find the right resources: online, or from others in this community
Put in the hours: don't slack

Easiest way to SWITCH is to pursue PG "OR" UPSKILL. Choose your way out. It'll give you confidence and atleast when you have something recent to add on your resume, you will overcome the self doubt little by little.
Finally just apply apply apply apply apply apply and keep going, until you crack something. The most upsetting result would be NOT getting selected and that's the stepping stone we all gotta take. I had a similar situation too, and it is still going on, I think. But I started making changes in my routine slowly, one thing at a time. Prepare a list of what you want to change. Write down your goals. Then break them into smaller tasks. Start executing them. If you decide to learn a new topic on weekends, try to finish it. Keep small, achievable goals in the beginning so that when you achieve them, you will get motivated to set another. While doing this, you may face obstacles and suddenly stop everything. Start again where you left off; it might stop again due to some reason. You have to keep picking it up until it gets achieved. I have been trying to learn some skills since 2018 and am still struggling with them, but this is what life is. Never give up, and when you look back, you will find yourself in a better situation.
I think you need to up skill yourself. You've lost confidence because you haven't tried anything challenging in a while and you're struck in a slump. Take some refresher courses online, give interviews with low expectations so even if you are not clear you will have an idea of the practice you need, talk to people from similar professional circles to understand market requirement. You will have to do something yourself, in the end it's each man for his own and you'll have to put in the work to bring yourself out of this slump.
I think I can answer your question as we are from same organisation with same experience...3.5 years. I also had this doubt. I didn't receive many calls but when I got one interview which was relatively very simple to crack, my performance was embarassing. The experience stuck with me and I reached out to practically everyone...friends, friends of friends, seniors, juniors, college classmates, school classmates. I put myself out there, took what worked for me from everyone I got in touch with.
It's a process, you'll make mistakes and you have to learn from it and implement changes in your interview process or resume for that matter. It was a long process, but I learned a lot!
Today I'm happy to say that I was able to bag an offer.
I would say don't give up! Keep trying! Keep learning and you'll get there for sure. There are opportunities for everyone at any point of time. It may take time but you'll get there!

This hits home because I was at your place a few years back. The struggle there is real.
What you can do to get out -
If it is just a different role and you are not sure which role, spend some time interning part-time in PM roles or ones of your choice.
Upskill in the one that makes sense. If just for the switch, my suggestion is don't go the MBA route.
