Are online masters degrees from tier-1 institutes worth it?
Take for example the IIT Kanpur E-Masters, I know that at a level, these are schemes for these institutions to make money, but do they hold any value, will the iitian tag be of any work ?
I do want to pursue a masters but cannot leave my job, GATE doesn't provide any admissions in a good online masters.
Any one with similar experiences? Other opinions ? There is OMSCS georgia tech, but I am not sure about that given my academic past.

No one values remote learning or online degrees... Atleast not on par with people who actually went there... Maximum you can show off on linkedin
eMasters requires a 4 years degree or a post graduation with mathematics as a subject (excluding MA). If you have a 4 year degree or a masters with mathematics, you can go for MTech in a WILP (work integrated learning program) instead of wasting money in eMasters which is still less than MTech.
Technical online degrees are not worth it, don't fall in that trap.
Manipal’s online degrees seem to be alright for Post Grad.
