[Thread] What important truth do very few people agree with you on?

100% Agree to each and every word. I keep saying on this platform that we have never been in this situation in the last 100 odd years. There is an opportunity to make a lots and lots of money in next 2 decades. Hate towards the current ruling party and their ideology has led them to not believe whatever good is happening around. Our mind and heart will believe whatever we tell them. Feed it truth, feed it positivity.

Indians killed quora with cringe questions. The same cringe is now surfacing on grapevine too. To be fair, many Indians moved away from facebook and are now increasingly not using insta for the same reason.

As Nikhil Kamath said "India is seemingly looking like the coolest party in town. I think what you need to be aware of is if you arrive too late, you might not get in"

In my childhood and youth, I used to believe with age will come wisdom and ability to ‘know’ things. Examples of these - - my parents know best - CEO knows better - bureaucrats know better - why isn’t x politician doing y - something so obvious to me (I know better) What’s one learning that’s disappointed me - That no one really ‘knows’ anything and everyone is playing the game of odds. What seems obvious to me has so many second order effects that I haven’t thought deeply about. The older I grow the lesser I know. The more I think the more I realise there is no black or white. You are mostly choosing to maximise or minimise something with probabilities.

simply saying "India India" is not helpful, no country in the world grows overall and India won't. looking at the situation I can say there will be only a few states, few areas, a section of society will grow. because there are clear class differences and only few sections of society are getting resources to grow. it's a typical case of a class teacher focusing on the toppers and not giving a shit about the backbenchers. The question here is who will grow, which sector or section of society will grow, not everyone for sure.

Even a blind man can see that wealth creation opps exist in India more than ever before. The markets are insanely overinflated though. Now try to make an actually unpopular opinion. Like, I don't know, transformers and RAG aren't good enough to sustain the genAI hype right now.

if you think indian baniyas lalas are going to create world class tech firms who can earn dollars you are mistaken . Zomato-reliance,adani arent earning dollars. Dont fall for shit like infra boom . You can see how firms like megha engineering (electoral bond fame) mint money on infra boom and frankly infra is good but are becoming maximalist on it . just infra alone wont deliver dollar earning firms . this is just one example. The fact is most of india is missing out on demographic dividend and govt. is busy in theaterics and less on delivery.

Hey OP, Would want to understand why you believe in this? Can you back this up with data? And back this up with future projections? Not to sound crude, but I am one of those who truly don't feel that great due to the political spectrum that's around. But I am all ears for you to give some good points. Who knows, I might jump ship with you and be optimistic regardless of the politics mayhem

India will only be prosperous when the current ruling party stops using their dirty tactics to stay in power, there are many better ways to take a vote for example showing visible development in the country, work on environmental issues instead of promoting communal hate to take vote from certain sections of India, no doubt current ruling party has a slight inclination towards development in country but if they could leave their dirty tactics to stay in power i would have definitely vote for them in 2024, for now it's a no. Also what I think is, the future of India might be bright but at human level India will be hollow , same as the US , the US might be the world's greatest economy but the human life is miserable, lonely, depressed, and left out. This new pandemic will surely hit India where more and more people have filled bank accounts but are emotionally deprived. Overall I feel the growth of India will be the same as Ai's growth in the last couple of years. Exponential curve.

See why only inside of india but also outside of india perception change towards india and india comes under semi developed countries in terms of economic power and infrastructure so when outside india person says their own country they don't have much opportunities to invest and get ROI that's one part but other major part is now that in not anyone in india working under pressure taking decision under central government with freedom and for development of india that's make huge change like make in india PLI scheme and small scale industries incentive program that help India to boost there economy. Only corruption is obstacles in india for the upcoming growth story

I agree there will be opportunities and money to be made. But even the rich (and the filthy rich) will still: - have children suffer from asthma and breathing problems because they cannot purify the air enough. (See Delhi) - will live in fear of the next riot when X community gets offended about Y topic and goes on a rampage and kills people randomly or worse, targeted. (See Gujarat 2002) - will get hurt physically and economically when they paid off A, B, C but forgot to pay off D. (See SRK) - will create more and more walled communities where they can push the ugly realities of unemployment and poverty away from their line of sight, lean on the Govt to protect their increasingly fragile identities but not their basic lives, until the ugliness breaks through and the “rich” have to confront the reality that the peasants don’t have any cake to eat (See French Revolution). When that happens, there will be a severe economic depression, and all the rich will lose more than the poor ever had. Of course in the meantime, we will have been subject to the new-age data-imperialism and would have sold our data, souls and futures to our new feudal overlords of Google, Meta and Microsoft. And then a few hundred years later we will again revolt against them, declare our independence from foreigners, and wonder how we went from being amongst the top economies in the 21st century to being the last, most impoverished one in the 24th century. Assuming we make it that far.

I don't think many people will disagree. The important truth that very few people will agree with me on is "AI is in a bubble and there's another funding winter coming in 2-3 years when AI runs out of resources"
