I'm sorry OP has to go through this but that's simply how the business world works. It's pretty-fucking-ruthless. You're still a kid if you think these trillion dollar empires were built on credibility, ethics and values. The management is shameless. Middle management prefers boot licking in hopes of career advancement and all the manual labour trickles down to the younglings.

As far as having disgusting, down right pathetic colleagues, yes that's a genuine problem. More so if you're a female.

At the end of the day you gotta do what you gotta do. Or exit the capitalist world alltogether.

100% Agreed. But, awareness brings action. Just helps sometimes if you call out.

At one point, restaurants should just deliver all the food to the Zomato HQ itself, given how they have destroyed their margins.

Comparing this to Byjus is ridiculous. The whole argument is that they price gouge their merchants? Sorry but that shows how much power they have over their merchants snd actually is extremely bullish for the stock.

More like how merchants don't have any options really. It is what it is for them. Every food business owner I know prefers to have orders over Thrive, than Zomato or Swiggy. They charge close to 20-35% of the order value as commissions, almost 50-60% if you do target marketing, ads, what not, it's just insane the money they charge. Plus after all this Zomato is still making accounting manipulation profits over balance sheet ones imo, so I guess it can be really unhealthy in the long term

Half the people in GV will join Zomato in a blink if it offers a high pay. I don't understand why techies crib all the time.

This isn't a techie, but an account manager. These are the fresh grad kids. The OP had even mentioned in the comments of the post and all

Zomato is known for a bad work culture but for brand and money people usually join it. For WLB I won't recommend it though.
