What are the career opportunities for freshers who start their professional career in the FinTech domain for companies like MSCI, JPMC, BlackRock, UBS. Do they have to be restricted to FinTech in the future or will they get opportunities in core Software companies/FAANGs as well?

I started my career in Fintech too. I was there for 4 years and moved to a HR Tech company for almost 2 years. Then I got a couple of offers and one from Google too but ended up choosing Fintech again.

Any reason as to why you chose FinTech over Google?

Because of pay. Google leveled me down to L3 from L4 and hence my pay would be 26% cut from what I was already making. Got an offer in my present company which is 30% hike.
