What happens to the EPF and Gratuity amounts when an employee transfers from offshore to Onsite? Will these benefits continue or be settled? If they settle, what if some one stays in that company 4 years and 9 Months, would they be eligible for Gratuity?

Do employees working in IT sector are eligible for gratuity after 4 years & 190 days (i.e. 4 years and 7 months approx) or need to spend a complete 5 years minimum? Please suggest.
