How accurate is this salary analysis?

I am working remotely at a SaaS company for 4+ years now. I started working since my final year of engineering. I joined here as a software engineering intern when the product was really new and booming. I have gotten bored of my work now, especially since I have been working from home all the time. I have very little social life. And I am getting fixed salary of about $1400 each month. I am thinking of switching to any Indian startup because I am not happy with my job being so monotonous and less pay at this level of experience. What should be the approach to crack the interviews? I have done DSA practice during my college days, but didn't crack any interviews with it. I am a full stack web developer but it doesn't excite me anymore and I want to stick to backend roles. And is it possible to crack an interview with for 30-40 LPA at this stage? Or do I have to climb up a salary ladder for a couple of years?

Hey Folks, I hope you all are doing extremely well. Wanna get some idea about market pay and the hike I’m getting in a e-commerce company. Worked as a DevOps/Software Engineer for 5 yrs and CCTC is around 30-32 LPA. New company is ready to offer around 42. Is it good offer or should I check for more companies? I know some startup’s are paying like anything and this offer seems to be trivial for 5 yrs experience, but just wanted to know if I should be pursuing this offer or not? I'm a generalist with 4 YOE, earning 17 LPA. Skills include but are not limited to: Nodejs, ReactJs, AWS, Jenkins, Docker and Linux. People in my company involve me in everything that requires solving problems. I have worked on multiple stacks beyond what I've mentioned and trained / guided junior to intermediate level of engineers I'm searching for a new job, but I don't see companies having a dire need for generalists. This is partly because generalists don't command enough confidence unless deployed on a project to work their magic (or so is what I believe) People having or knowing people in my techstack, do you think it is possible to expect a salary of 30 LPA ? Or is specialization an inevitable next step to take ? Also, how should I position myself in interviews ? Your thoughts will be appreciated.

What salary can I expect ? I have 12 years exp , currently working as a principal Engineer in a startup in bangalore. My current ctc is around 37lpa which based on the market looks a lot less. This is eating into my productivity and as such I am looking for a job change. Any pointers on what I can ask?

I have about 5 YOE and looking for a job change. While I received so many calls from startups for SSE backend roles. During initial discussions I often let the HR know that I am earning 28 lakhs as CTC and I ask for 40 lakhs CTC, they say that they will get back to me but they never do so. Am I doing something wrong? Am I asking for too much. Should I wait for the market to get back to normal? PS: I definitely have the major set of skills they are expecting for the job role.

Hello folks, I have 6.7 YOE in Frontend engineering and have been laid off at existing startup. My total CTC is 25LPA (22 fixed + 3 Bonus). I have cleared technical rounds at Publicis Sapient for Lead Frontend Engineer (Frontend React) and have salary discussion round tomorrow. I would like to know a decent ask for the same. I am thinking of 32 LPA (30% increase to 25 LPA). I would like to know if anyone has idea about salary at this level and if its a fair ask.

My Profile Years of Exp. - ( 1.5 Years MNC + 2.3 Years In a Small Startup) Current CTC - 22 LPA I am working as a SDE 2 in this startup and have been a founding engineer for the company. I have built several products from scratch with complete ownership. I have experience in Java, Spring Boot, Postgres, MongoDB, etc. My concern is that i have worked on logic heavy applications but never on big scale since the applications i have built are enterprise focussed. Most of the good startups / MNCs require experience in working with Dist. Systems, scale,etc. My ask is what should i expect in terms of salary in the current market. Is 36 Base achievable ?
