Is GrowthX a fad?
Been hearing a lot of chatter about how GrowthX isnโt as great as its advertised. Any truth to that? Is it really worth to pay that kind of money for a 8 week course and just for community?
I can't believe the hype - the LinkedIn masturbation pre presentation was annoying. The teams were n00bs and presented like 7th grade kids in elocution (I'm looking at you Sama Patkar). The ideas were juvenile, classic Excel sheet circus, and none of the judges grilled them. I mean really guys if you think this is growth - it's 2000. My CMO and plenty of untalented marketing folks i know would've ripped this shit apart. I kept waiting for something to learn. But what a waste of 3 hours.
GrowthX should be a marketing case study. Like they create all the hype, supply demand mismatch for their cohorts, brand as top 1% but they are just targeting on having freshers that want to make it big in their career. Having few people with great background helps their credibility but as someone who completed MBA in 2021, I find it very unappealing and too much hype and little substance.
I remember back in the day when it used to be a small, invite-only thing. The quality seemed much better. Fewer products - pertinent questions from the judges. And it went for much longer than 3 hours.
Now it's just a lead gen channel for their next cohort.
More like de-GrowthX.
Came here exactly to say this. Been watching since the last 3 editions - its going downhill. And the cringe has just maxxed out right now.

Recently did capstone with GrowthX. While I appreciate the program design, structure etc.
Few things which are really broken and need immediate fix if they want to have the capstone product going.
How is the culture? Anyone worked/working there?
Also, JD talks about 'ambiguous' and 'unstructured' team, so red flags showing already ๐ฉ
