I was having a conversation with a few colleagues the other day, and they mentioned that I was lucky and privileged to be a woman in STEM right now. This got me thinking, as I've always felt that women were underrepresented in tech roles.
I'd love to know your perspectives on this.

Women have always had privileges: Special events, hiring only women in name of diversity hiring, not giving them night shifts, wfh advantage, office commute

Yes in name of diversity they are few policies in IT firms to promote women employees
If company is giving promotions to 5 people in a year out of those at least 1 or 2 should be women
And also its mandatory now to keep women in managerial and leadership roles
