EdTech USPs
Apart from placement assistance/guarantee, what exactly is something that EdTech companies in the upskilling/higher education space (Scaler, UpGrad, etc.) solving that can’t be solved by free material available?
P.S. Not a rant. I’m genuinely trying to understand what drives people to pay such hefty amounts to these EdTech companies. Maybe someone in the industry can help with this.
It's the placement guarantee/assistance, the teachers that come with FAANG creds a lot of times, and the alums who have seem to gone to good places
But most importantly, it is the discipline these courses bring. I'm not saying people cannot do it with free material, they definitely can. But most people need consistency, and being in classes for hours, having assignments everyday ensures that in a 6 month period, a lot of people move much more than they would have otherwise
Construct of content
It's the order and discipline. The fact someone will hold you accountable. And you are forcing yourself to be around a peer group and activities to reach that goal.
Tell me the last time you spend 8 hours a day to achieve a goal, other than work.
